RB Leipzig

RBL Matchday

Stinky international break is over, like 90% of the squad was away and thankfully no one came back with an injury but still more tired legs from double games. It's a home tie vs Union Berlin today and Rose has, surprisingly, decided to stick - it seems - with the 3-4-1-2 formation from the Leverkusen game whilst giving a debut to Geertruida who I'm excited to see but also still have no idea how to pronounce his name. Little bit confused they're going with quite a negative formation as 3 centre halves (presume Geertruida is the RCB) just aren't necessary except against the big boys. My guess is it's just to mirror Union's formation which is a favourite of Bo Svensson. They have 4pts from first two matchdays so won't be an easy game at all.

Game is LIVE from 14.30pm.

Openda misses a pen in the 74th minute. Was a soft one and he didn't look confident at all taking it (missed one last week for Belgium).

Game has been a snooze fest.

RBL Matchday

2nd round of CL fixtures and it's home tie against Juventus. Leipzig won comfortably at the weekend (4-0) but this will be a whole other proposition. Juve aren't what they once are in terms of star names but still got a brilliant squad and defensively excellent. Going to be a tough night, maybe a draw? Would be nice for Leipzig's strikers to come out and impose themselves early like they did against Atleti.

Game is LIVE from 8pm on TNT Sports 6

1-1

It was coming. Juve the only team to come out of the changing rooms. Rose made a really defensive sub at half time and it’s just zapped the energy out of the side.

1-1

Penalty to Leipzig. Douglas Luiz just come on then blocks a free-kick with his hand. Openda was gonna take but thankfully Sesko took it off him.
