RB Leipzig

RB News:

- Atletico Madrid possibly looking to replace Diego Costa with Timo Werner.
- Haidara doesn't make the final 5 for Young African Player of the Year.
- Stadium upgrades looking likely as well as tram tracks in preperation for the 2024 European Championship.
- RB Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch admits Haland to Liepzig would be a good move. Still no clear answer on a reported RBL-only release clause.

Is lookman playing?
No. He hasn't walked himself into a good situation. The old system when he was there had attacking midfield positions that suited him. This new one doesn't as much. Plus Sabitzer and Forsberg are good. As such he's had limited minutes I think as a striker. Which is also tough because of Werner and Poulsen.

I don't think he's been bad though. And amazingly no murmurings about attitude problems.

They’re playing the same system as when he was on loan here. Even when they go to a back 3 it’s still with two number 10’s. He’s just not as good as the other players.

I'd imagine that having less in midfield though would probably make the #10 role slightly different than it was when he was there previously and had two guys sitting deep. Regardless he definitely isn't as good but I do think there is something to him not playing the #10 at all and having his small minutes be up top. And he isn't a striker best I can tell.

As an aside remember in the summer when everyone sided with Silva and said if Silva says he isn't good enough than he has to be right? LOL.

Well he’s hardly proving he’s good enough is he...

Not being good enough for a clear CL side and not being good enough for Everton aren't the same thing. Ramsey barely plays for Juve and would be our best player. I guess he hasn't proven it but he hasn't proven the people who decided to never use him right either. And at this point it feels unlikely we will ever find out.
