We need to sell players for actual fees. It's absolutely crazy how many players leave this club for free. And people are against selling Mina etc, who will enter their final year. Kenny should have been sold last summer for even a small fee. Our transfer dealings have made no sense. It's basically been sign for high fees, pay big wages, then release as free agents.

Benitez brought in Townsend and Gray and they were outstanding in the first half of the season. They were buttons.
We dont need loads of cash to get decent players in who have heart.

Well that's another issue entirely, and something I was disappointed in Brands for.
He thought Kenny would replace Coleman - it's why he loaned him out/always insisted Sidibe was cover for when Kenny returns. Mad, really.
But nobody is paying money for Tosun, Sigurdsson, Kenny, Delph who leave this summer and we get their wages off the books, following Bolasie, Walcott, Bernard, Besic, Kean, Digne, Rodriguez etc.
That's a healthy step, and while we're not going to be lashing a fortune about - we'll certainly spend a fair bit more than last summers £1.7m.

The world is against us right now. The only way is up, as they say.
If we stay in the division I believe we're in a decent position...even without the carpetbagger's cash.
I wouldn't go as far as outstanding. They were decent. And Gray has been pretty poor recently, very poor in his last two games.
We should be buying the best championship players every year.
