What are you changing it to Chico? It's still Android, you're just running a customer ROM. You can change the skins and use custom ROMS on iPhones too. Personally I don't, it gets annoying when you keep having to tinker.

My mate's heavy into the Android stuff, he's for ever moaning about something going wrong with his custom ROM. It reminds me too much of the old days on Windows Mobile OS. These days I just want the easy route of being able to use the phone and go. iOS 7 will be unveiled in a couple of weeks, that should be interesting.

I've got a Nexus 4 in the house. It's still got the plastic on it, I was going to give it a whirl with Ubuntu, but it's just a developers window dressing of an OS at the moment. No real functionality, and the apps don't work.

It depends if you're into the customisation of your phone mate. Some are and some aren't, the ones that aren't use apple.

With the ROMs you can easily choose the stable version but nerd lids go for the beta so there will be issues. I never have an issue off JellyBam and can use it to under clock or over clock my phone for instance, so all aspects of the phone are up to you. I seldom go that deep into it but it's useful.

Can you do that with apple? lol.

I genuinely can't be bothered with the headache of it anymore. My mate on the other hand loves it, even when he's complaining he's secretly addicted to continually changing things. If he gets a stable ROM, i guarantee you within a few weeks he'll be bored and looking to try something new lol

Same with all of this faux phone warz. Lids should just buy what's best for them and enjoy it. I might be getting an iPhone as a work phone in the not too distant future which would be interesting.

As long as it's not a Blackberry you'll be fine. Absolutely hate my blackberry with a passion!

Upgrading to the iPhone 5 this week, £89 for the device £26 a month, unlimited data not a bad deal. Usually buy my phone outright, but this deal is cheaper! £788 over two years.

Usually £500 for phone and £12 a month payg x 24 months

Have you had a bash on the 920? I need opinions.

I really fancied it, but the problem with Windows mobile is it lacks basic features at the moment. Think of iOS when it was new and Android when it first came out, that's where Windows Mobile is right now. People who tend to like the platform do nothing more than make calls, write some texts, and take photos.

When I've used a windows phone, which has been a few times, I was shocked at how poor the app ecosystem was. I knew it didn't have the numbers that Android and iOS had, but it really was beyond bare boned. The tile system is nice, it's slick, but the phone really is like going back about five years. Just be careful before taking the plunge.

Bit light on the minutes, but not everyone lives on the phone. That's a cracking deal that

Just signed up for this, was on a payg 4S with GiffGaff which was sound, but wanted the 5 and for £89 and £80 cash back, can't argue with that - its marginal in terms of cost in the long run as i usually buy the handset outright so £500 for the phone, 12 x 24 for the payg is about £788 whears this is £624.. no brainer plus i get 80 back, and i've just sold my 4S for £219 to one of them online phone buying places) so altogether about £400 for it? not a bad deal for me.

Got a htc one yesterday. Was a toss up between that and galaxy s4 but after having the s3 fancied a change.
