Recommend a phone

Using the arl Htc Hero since got back off my hols as my galaxy nexus appears to be stuffed (charging port, but possibly other probs as well cos it drains battery very quickly), need to fig what I'm gonna do as if ionsurance say it's damaged from me 'prodding around' then it aint covered, but if it were to inadvertently fall from my pocket and become lost then I'd be covered. Trouble is its ringing it's backside off with work atm so I cant afford to have to wait for a new sim should mine become lost.

I'll probs take the cheque option tbh & get the new Nexus thats due out if it's another bargain one. I AM due an upgrade soon as well but doubt I'll take it so as to stay on my heavily discounted plan (paying £18 for a £68 plan).

You'll love it mate. The build quality as you said is fantastic, the screen is tremendous, and wait until you hear the sound out of it!

I get which magazine at home, in July they did a phone test on the top 7 selling smartphones on the market and the iphone came last on three of the major categories ( speed, reliability and general satisfaction). Bit of an eye opener to me as the whole Iphone, Ipad, Ipod world always strikes me as a bit of a cult in that you cant accept that other phones do the same thing for half the price. Yet their customers are the most dissatisfied.
