Red or dread?

I am thinking of changing my manual Honda Civic for an automatic. I have never owned a red car since I was almost killed when my red Ford Sierra crashed into the only house for miles (no recollection of it but I was completely sober). Over the last 25 years, because of 'them' I also refuse to wear anything with red in it.

The thing is, the Mark 8 Civic looks fantastic in red and I have seen one that I really like the look of. Do I buy it though?

Do you also have a red embargo? Do you refuse to eat tomatoes, for instance?
@Alan Whittle has never forgiven me for the admission that I own a red car. It is an automatic too funnily enough. Very enjoyable to drive in traffic. Terrifying in icy / snowy weather due to loss of clutch control.

If you are buying a Ferrari then it's perfectly acceptable. Other than that not a fan of that colour on a car.

Nothing to do with them lot though. They just happen to be some team that play in red.

Yep, no Tomatoes for me, nor a red car, jumper, socks
Anything
Edit; not withstanding anything red. Here in Australia, even modern red cars seem to have a poor UV paint reaction.
90% of the cars you see 'peeling' are red. Must be something in the paint...or not in it.

I swerve any of their sponsors stuff, as this is putting money into the devil's bank account.

NB= Check out the Current Affairs threads, loads of shmucks waving big RED flags in there.

Learn to drive properly then...with no clutch to remove traction, let the Automatic Gearbox do the work for you
You don't press the clutch in...(you haven't got one obvs) you ease off the accelerator (avoid too much...any...brake pedal, pretty much useless in the snow anyway; see Newtons 1st Law) and the Automatic Gearbox does it for you - The clue is in the name Automatic Gearbox.?

Edit; If you've still got problems you're going too fast anyway

His problem is that his car is red. It’s a disgrace!

My current car is red. I wouldn't choose a red car, but I had it given to me and beggars can't be choosers )lol
When I was young I was firmly in the 'don't own anything red' camp. As I got older I learned to embrace the colour by
virtue of the fact that red reflects my politics NOT my footballing allegiance. Using that same logic, I now happily wear red t-shirts etc. (but ONLY if they have a political message or logo on them)
Would definitely never wear anything red on a match day though.

Oh no mate, it's actually pulling off and avoiding putting too much power through the wheels.

Owned plenty of red cars in my time, when cleaned and waxed they look lovely but unfortunately red paint on certain models (Vauxhall etc) faded very badly and end up looking bloody awful.
