So the FA would rather we didn't cause a fuss when one of our players is elbowed in the back of the head, and no action is taken by the officials on the pitch. They're not even trying to hide it anymore are they?
It's a combination of the officials being useless (worst in Europe) and the rules being needlessly complicated - re drop ball to the keeper and not the team in possession if it's in the goal area, different phases of offside, a goal not being disallowed due to an accidental handball by a teammate but being disallowed due to an accidental handball by the goalscorer. Simplify the rules and make them the same for everyone. Sometimes the decisionswould feel harsh but it would be the same for everyone. Of course, that's why they won't do it, they want the ability to be able to interpret the rules one way for the money generating teams and another way for the rest!
Our players reacted how I'd like to see them react. No one went over the line but they stood up for a team mate who had been taken out after the whistle had gone. We definitely didn't lose control - you want to see players protecting their team mates after two heavy fouls in about 3 seconds.
One more for the list, Mitrovic on Gana, studs up above the ankle, yellow and VAR upheld.

The forearm rabbit punch style elbow was criminal. Don't know how much of it was intentional but a very very dangerous type of challenge. Remember Arteta getting hit with one and having a seizure against Bucharest?
Followed by Duncan ironing out the culprit about 5 mins later ?
