The graphic below is the teams in the run in and their fixtures, I`ve been marking this off for a few weeks, just for info really.

Some interesting things here.....

Southampton have statistically the hardest run in, the average league position of their opponents is 8th, whilst they are also 4 points from safety. After that it is Wolves and West Ham, the average league position for the teams they have left is 9th..... on the other side of the coin Palace have statistically the easiest run in with their opponents average league placing as 14 followed by Bournemouth, 12th.

Predicted points based on PPG this season shows the worst 4 as Southampton 30, Leicester 34, Leeds 35 and Everton 35. Obviously this is across the season and doesn`t take in to account our good upturn in form.

Plenty to see, have a look, and as we all know football will not follow convention or the statistics.... hopefully we can pull away from any trouble....

Just looking at that schedule, it's pretty clear that barring a miracle, Southampton are almost certainly down already. For a long time, I thought Bournemouth was the next most likely to join them, but they've scraped up some results that make me think they could still have a chance with their run-in. Now I'd say the one that looks to be in really grave danger is Forest. If they don't get a win against Leeds, where does their next one come from?

West Ham's got a tough road too, but their games in hand should serve them well. On paper, Palace has an easy schedule, but what happens if Zaha is out for the season? Leeds have injury issues too that make it tougher for them than the schedule otherwise looks. Wolves with a dang tough run-in as well. Leicester has no business being here on talent alone, but they seem to be the least mentally prepared for this fight of any of the 9, so who knows which way they go.

All that said, if we can play the next 9 like we have the last 9, I like our chances.

Exactly that, just concentrate on ourselves, Dyche has 12 points from 9 games, that again from the next 9 would be most welcome, we`d finish on 39 points...

Its hard to believe West Ham are 5th in that form table, I thought they were on a bad run

I think had any one broke down our last two games and told us we’d go unbeaten, you’d have taken it.

As it goes the fight, effort and grit we’ve shown makes me think that we’ve got a fighting chance.

It’s a lot different from last year.

At the start of Feb we had Arsenal x 2, Liverpool A, Spurs H and Chelsea A in our run in.

We’ve boxed off 5 of them and we’re currently out of the relegation zone. That’s huge signs for positivity. There’s a long, long way to go, but keep fighting and we’ll stay up.
Last season was way more dangerous than this one.

IMO we barely lose two matches in the remainder of the season and ase out of this with maybe a couple of games to sapre.

We’ve taken 12 points from Dyche’s 9 games in charge.

We have 9 games left, and if we continue that pattern of points per game, we’ll finish on 39 points, which you have to imagine will be enough.

If we keep up this rate of points collection and show the resilience and fight we have done in recent games, it would be extremely harsh for us to go down and circa 24 points from 18 games is not relegation form at all, it’s solid midtable.
The thing is, we can drop off from it slightly and still get clear. 36 points will do this.

Also, I'd say that we can do better than those first 9 games under Dyche points wise.

We've seen Everton putting in solid performances and we have a settled system with a settled first team. We're merely being consistent now. Consistent will do it, but I think as Dyche said that there's something growing at the club now in this team and he's pushing them to get more from games.

Hypothetical question.
But if the other teams around us had beaten Brentford and gotten 90th minute equalisers against Chelsea and spurs would more be sayin that's very good form they will stay up.
a lot here are pessimistic at best. Granted the club haven't helped but to any neutral I think looking in we are showing enough to stay up.
They're the Death Cult mate. Laugh at them and then ignore them. They actively want Everton relegated. More to be pitied than anything.
