No one has a divine right to be anywhere if they’re down in this mess after the games that have been played. Fortunately we have a manager who has absolutely no time for that sort of grandstanding and just sets his team to scrap for every minute of every game for every point.
There's a lot to be said for a manager and team who scrap for every point they can glean.

The Dyche effect:

That was a very long time ago now though mate.

They've taken 3 points from the last 24.

At the beginning of February it all looked under control for them, but they've run out of steam and they have a lot out injured.

They're going down IMO.
Another reason why it is in our interests to see three teams begin to get cut adrift is that the death spiral can begin in earnest as panic and then acceptance sets in.

It's critical we can stay out of the bottom three from here on in.

True. I’m simply budgeting for the worst case scenario for our own interests. I think if fans and especially players think the deed is done then the complacency could set it.

Better safe than sorry is my thinking but yeah you’re right really I think they’ve got 6 points max left in them for the rest of the season.

Too many signings in the summer…too many short term signings like ayew in January… a mad combination of players in that squad was always likely to come back and bite them in the arse.

Defo.

That draw last night was essential to keep our confidence up.

Overall though I see a lot of rank teams at the bottom and none of them can match our organisation and will to win.

Think the encouraging thing is that nobody below us has a game in hand on us now.

Imo the teams who go down will come from those in the bottom 5 right now, but I couldn't call it much past that. We are in better form than most of them, but we have tougher run ins than most of them.

It'll be close

As soon as we get to 30 points the better. Hopefully it's on Saturday.

Once there we can pick off the extra points we'll need and hopefully have a buffer of three clubs behind us firmly in the relegation zone.
