I think Benitez is terrible.

But he got a tune out of us for a month. That’s all West Ham need.

Guess the positives are defeats for sides around us can only aid our relegation fight.

I’d rather have our run in than West Ham’s, put it that way.

But he had 2 months worth of pre season to put his system in, didnt have a squad shot on confidence and a team that have got a game very 3 days.

Once the confidence went here he was lost.

I think Moyes probably just keeps them up, as other implode more, but Benitez is like rolling the dice. It's fine if you roll 5/6 but if it goes wrong, I doubt he will turn it around.

Depends if they win at Fulham at home in the middle of those two.

That would keep them in touch at least.

Fulham basically playing everyone at the bottom in next month so their motivation levels will be interesting.

I even think if they do that, 26 from 32 just feels too big to come back from for me. For what is an awful team, in awful form, with a rookie manager.

Waste of time predicting anything as nothing tends to pan out the way you think it will. But i think the morale of leicester and west ham is on the floor. The two late goals against chelsea and spurs has us with a bit more upbeat feeling. I think forest have gone. 0 wins in 8 and their next 5 games are very tough.
Could do with west ham sticking with moyes. For me its southampton forest and 1 of 7.

Amazed Leicester haven't gone for FSW yet.

Perhaps they don't see him as a long term option but he'd probably win them a couple of home games.

Probably demanding too much.
It’s why he left Newcastle, it’s why he went to China and it’s why Everton paid him and his backroom staff £10.5m to get him out.

£10.5m is an awful lot for a 7-week rental, they’d effectively have to commit to a longer term. That’s the only thing I can think of.

Will they try and ride it out, hope they stay up and throw everything at Potter? That’s what makes the most sense to me, for both parties.

Have to feel you’re right.

But ultimately, this is panic time. He’s done nothing to suggest he’s a survival expert. Took us to the relegation spaces, and took Newcastle down.

I’d be shocked if he’s not in a PL job in the very near future.

I also think West Ham are too good to go down, but then I thought that about Newcastle the first time etc

They are a worry in that sense. Lost last 4. They now look like they are playing for nothing but pride and they have lost their main striker. Like you say they are playing so many in the relegation scrap. They could have a big say in this for many sides.

Thing about West Ham, as with Wolves and Leicester, is that yes they do each have a bunch of players who are too good to go down, but those players also know they are getting a transfer straight back up if they do go down. So do the likes of Rice or Neves or Maddison have the real fight in them when actually it makes little difference to them personally?

Whereas I look at a club like Bournemouth, very few of those players are good enough to transfer back up individually, they are genuinely fighting to avoid Championship football next season, and I think that's what might save them.

Simply have to beat them at Goodison (can feel another Brentford performance and result) and hopefully they'll get some draws and wins off the others at Craven Cottage. They've won games this season without Mitrovic so not like he's their only good player in final third.
