I hate to say the obvious but that Leicester appointment turns their survival into a bit of a coin toss. I think they should have stuck with Brenda.

I'm not saying Smith is the wrong appointment, but weren't the Leicester fans up in arms when they appointed Ranieri? And look how that turned out. Nothing is certain in this game. Saying that I wouldn't want him here.

Yeah they were in freefall under Rogers

Now they have a chance of the new manager squeezing out some results

It's going to be torturously close this relegation battle

You'd think 12 more points should be enough for us, but I have no idea where those 12 points are coming from

Palace and Leicester being away games is a pisser for us really, would have been better to have those games at home

Don't win against Fulham and we're going down. Too few 'winnable' games left after this one unfortunately. This and Bournemouth home absolutely got to be 6 points, and imo we also need 4 from the games against Newcastle and Palace to be safe.

As with Dyche and Burnley

Dyche had successfully kept a rubbish Burnley team up a couple of times in relegation battles before that season. He'd also got them relegated once, but then got them promoted again. The season they sacked him they still got relegated, so he might have kept them up if they'd held their nerve. It's a gamble whatever decision is made, and I personally would prefer Dyche to Smith in a relegation battle. But then, I was happy we appointed Lampard at the time. So what do I know

Leicester have effectively 7 games left because they face City away next.

If they get 4 wins from those 7 games they might do it.

3 wins would put them on 34 points and I dont think that'll be enough.

If we get 3 wins we'll almost certainly stay up IMO.

Given the recent shake out at the bottom, 36 points looks like a safe total now - one those in the relegation spots cant get to....or certainly aren't likely to get to.

If we beat Fulham the door opens very wide for us to get out of this.
