This is all true but that's a massively talented squad there though. They could be sitting in 8th and nobody would bat an eyelid.
I’d raise an eyebrow at massively talented to be honest. Maddison is either very good, or anonymous. I’ve been there with free tickets 3 times this season and twice he was decent/average, and once was hauled off to cheers from the home fans. Barnes is dangerous when their tails are up. Iheanacho could have scored enough to have them safe, pops up in great areas, but alas he misses sitters repeatedly. Etc etc.

Biggest problem they have is that in the trenches, same as us, job number one has to be tough to score against. If you can’t score freely, you need to at least scramble some draws or grab a lucky set piece goal. They are weakest slap bang in front of their slightly ropey keeper. If Smith can sure up the centre back pairing, they might stage a recovery. But whilst we aren’t blessed with Stam and Vidic, their centre backs are truly appalling in almost every aspect of modern football apart from one being very very tall. Their centre back problem is the equivalent of our striker problem. Depends on which manager can overcome their team’s glaring weakness to generate points.

Forest sack the feller who made the signings for them in the summer and January.

I'm not surprised.

Not surprised like but just a mad couple of windows for them.

They spent so much but on nothing, went for pure quantity over quality and their one massive signing in lingard doesn't even okay because he's an utter crab

I didn't say they will be cut adrift, I said I could envisage them being cut adrift after the next three games. He might well energise Leicester's players. Who knows.

I'm not sure it's a good fit though. I said above that Leicester are a possession based team and I dont associate Smith with teams that particularly want to control the ball for large parts of the game.

Also, there's the more mundane point that Leicester have City away and therefore we're talking in reality about Smith having 7 games to get - I would say - 4 wins to get to 37 points and safe. That sounds like a tall order for a man coming in and needing to get a team refocussed into another way of playing football.
I agree Dean Smith may be the wrong man, we don't know. Personally, I believe they will stay up with him. Smith is a decent coach, not top half material but he does know the game. However, Smith is a nice guy, and he will likely be a breath of fresh air for the Leicester players. JT will command respect and will be the bad cop for Smith's good cop, when he was at Villa our defense was very good, when he left Villa we started leaking goals. And Shakey knows Leicester inside out. Leicester have far better players than the position they are in and critically, they have creative and goal scorers in the team. That is like gold dust in a relegation battle. My view on it is that Smith et al's appointment at Leicester is bad news for one of EFC, Leeds or Bournemouth.

I thought Dennis would be a decent signing. Not happened for him.

We could maybe hand him another chance if we stay up. He defo wont be fetching £20M again.

The thing is, the outgoing manager was very much liked by the players but they couldn't get him a win in the last 2 months.

I just see players suited to playing with the ball now getting told they have to do the hard yards by a new manager and then - especially those with run down contracts - clocking off for the remainder of the season.

I hope that's how it goes anyway.

I actually thought their summer signings were starting to click mid season. Their best midfield combination by a mile has been Ryan Yates-Freuler-Gibbs White.

For some reason Cooper wasn't satisfied and they signed Jonjo Shelvey who's been pretty poor in that area slowing play down and he just gifted Villa the opener on Saturday. One of the Brazilians they got in has had off field issues and had to go home to Brazil.

Chris Wood didn't make much impact and now season over due to injury and I think Navas in goal for Henderson has been a downgrade aswell, he should've stopped both Leeds goals when they lost there last week.

Lets face it - we are not in a good spot. We absolutely need points on Saturday.
We need to win. Can't see enough winnable games otherwise. However, we have actually exceeded my expectations over the past couple of months. The problem has been our rivals winning.

I just hope those home losses after the WC haven't done it for us. That said, at least it's still in our own hands.

I am hoping forest, saints and one other that isn't Everton.

The cash they spent was decent too. £150M.

There's picking there for us if they go down. Dennis and Gibbs-White.
