We won't be able to afford good championship players due to our finances.

We'll have to sell £100mill of players and only be able to spend a fraction of it.

Burnley is the template as depressing as that is. They sold Pope, Cornet, Nathan Collins and erm Dwight McNeill as they had to due to finances but also kept a solid core of 5-6 and getting Kompany in meant they suddenly had a good knowledge of the Belgian market.

Dyche will just have to scout around for similar players in the lower leagues and abroad/Scotland.

Someone like Patterson should look good down there. He's shown potential at prem before the injuries. Garner was fine for Forest and given their scoring records in half a season likes of Simms and Tom Cannon need to be given serious chances aswell.

Leicester and Leeds (40 and 39 goals) have goals in their team, Everton and Forest (24 goals each) don't.

That could be crucial when it comes to the crunch of must win games, it's asking a lot to 1-0 win your way to safety under this pressure.

I know. But they have some winnable games and threy can score.

I feel right now that we've hit the buffers at just the wrong time and we dont know when Onana and Coleman will be back, and of course we still have the influential Doucoure out another game.

This is the first time since Dyche arrived I think we're in danger of relegation.

There may be a few twists and turns left, but the manner of the last two defeats have shook me and I dont see us turning this around anytime soon.
Dyche is a decent manager but he is at a certain level. He was never going to keep the consistency of results u enjoyed when he came in and you can't rely on a wonder goal or a Seamus cross/goal week in and week out. You were always going to have a bit of a slump. However, I think Dyche is capable of getting you out of the slump too. Just as you weren't going to have the consistency of great results, you are not going to have the consistency of awful results. I think a point away to Palace, a loss to Toon, and a win against Leicester and imo u will avoid the drop and I think Dyche is well capable of getting Everton up for those games.

Everton will be the cock of the walk in The Championship. We’ll be the biggest club to play in that league for decades and we’d be the biggest club most Champ-level players would ever have a chance to play for.

Sign up the crème de la champ, assemble a squad who see Everton as their ticket to play in the Premier League. Get them on cheap deals because of the ‘draw’ of the name.

Absolutely decimate our first opponent in the Champo and get the good vibes going for a swift return to the Prem. Then go on to have a mediocre season, briefly flirt with relegation to league one before finishing lower midtable.

UTFT!
And everyone will try to beat us. We'll be every team's cup final.

Leicester are losing to everyone at home. Fail to win there and I rather think we don't deserve to stay up.
I think we've probably established by now that we don't deserve to stay up. Whether we do by default is a different matter, but this is not the Everton I grew up with.

Our lads wouldn't have the character to go to Leicester and win. The question is do they have the character to go there and draw.

Madness how Dyche set up for this.

Experimenting in a must win game.

We died a death with Gray on the wing with Iwobi in the middle plus Maupay upfront.

Doucoure's red has cost up badly but the sooner DCL comes back in because 3 clear chances fell to Maupay and Gray and they couldn't hit a barn door.

Thought we had enough to pull ourself up ourselves, but after that second half I don't think we do. Going to have to hope that the bottom three remain as bad as us.
