Apathy was drummed into the fans by a board whose standards were to just be in the league. A club like Everton, who at the dawn of the Premier League was a recent title winner, had one of the best stadiums in the country.Relegation is the by-product of when anger turns in to apathy and that line was crossed a while ago if you've actually read the room.
The mood here has changed from 'our safety is almost secure' to 'we've definitely had it now' after today's result. It was always going to be a rollercoaster ride from January onwards when Dyche came in and we failed to strengthen the squad, and that is proving to be the case.To much bed wetting today.
The match was dire and we looked awful.
But we did the same against a relegation rival Burnley last season and look where we ended up.
Im not optimistic but i dont think we are desd and buried yet. Still points to be had and equally dreadful teams around us who are shot of confidence.

Our chances of staying up are probably about 50-50 which many would have taken a few months ago when it looked like we were going to be relegated before the end of March. Sometimes it's only when you are really up against it that it brings out the best in you. There are still enough games left to turn this around, we have done it before and we can do it again. Now is when the support of the fans is needed the most, so we need to get behind the players until it is mathematically impossible.
It will go to the last day but I still think we will do it - just about. Then when the situation is clear, anger must be directed towards those responsible for getting us in this mess in the first place.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens if we get relegated. If we manage to stay up, the board will throw Dyche under the bus, maybe a few players along with him and then sign a new manager to stir up a bit of enthusiasm amongst the fan base. Sell him to who ?Today was absolute toothless [Poor language removed]. We needed Seamus to give us some steel and Onana to give us some class and maybe someday maybe DCL will return before we sell him. We need some inspiration to stayup.
if we go down then next season's team will probably be something like this
---------------new GK probably 40 year old ben foster-----------
Patterson--------Godfrey----------Branthwaite----------Nkounkou
---------------------Garner-------Tom Davies (new 5 year contract) ------------
McNeil -----------------------------------------------------------------------Dobbin
--------------------------------Simms----------Cannon--------------------------------------
This would be the case with any club though, It's not like it's just us. I've personally never looked at other clubs forums but I'm pretty sure you would find the same reaction in Saints, Leicester, Forest, and even Leeds if you looked in them. The likes of Bournemouth and wolves would have only just picked up recently. The mood here has changed from 'our safety is almost secure' to 'we've definitely had it now' after today's result. Yep. Only the bottom three teams get relegated. We are currently not one of the bottom three. We are in the mix, but it's far from inevitibleTo much bed wetting today.

Agree with this - even if we find three worse teams than us this season we’ll be in the same boat next season. No money to improve a dreadful squad and a recruitment team that managed to pick out maupay as our main attacking reinforcement doesn’t inspire confidence one bit.If not this season, it will happen next. The hole Bill and his posse has dug is too deep. Look at this squad. It’s made up of a bunch of misfits from previous sacked managers and scraps from clubs who got relegated. And in the ffp trouble we are in and it may look even worse. It’s sad to say but it may take years for us to recover as a club. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us in the championship for a long time. This isn’t ever going to be better unless Bill steps down and we can new ownership who has even the slightest clue how to go about running a football club.
