I like Dyche and would, in all likelihood, stick with him come what may. But nobody can pretend that the last two games were up to scratch.

He's got a terrible squad, through no fault of his own, and got some very respectable results in very tough fixtures. But not much point doing that if you're not going to capitalise when those fixtures become a tad more favourable.

So, we can overlook Fulham at home as an aberration - but not if we get more of the same at Palace. We need results now.

We do need a big reaction against Palace, who by all accounts are flying now under the old owl. We need to beat either them or Leicester away though, and Newcastle at home to stand a fighting chance.

I'm honestly not hopeful and think we'll end up 18th.

You don’t need to win 3 games to avoid going down?

How many points do you think we’ll get? 3 wins from 7 would leave us on 36 points which wouldn’t even be guaranteed to keep us up, so less than that almost certainly sends us down.

I think Dyche set up the team to try and win yesterday and it completely backfired. Posters on here are right, with Seamus, Doucoure and Onana missing we have lost much of our spine and we dont have adequate subs. That can be adressed later. From his first days dyche tried not to lose and I think that works better for him and the squad. Next week to Palace ia a 'must not lose'.

The thing with some of these games, as always some of them will have people contradicting themselves - (or just have some people doing it full stop if games or not) as we Need Leeds to lose tomorrow for example, but we may need them to win in a few weeks v Leicester - all this we could be 5points above Leicester thing means nothing if we beat them as we may need to win to stay by them by then - no one really knows

Didn’t really answer the question, but okay.
I answered the question. He needed to be gaining something yesterday. He needed to be getting a point at home to Villa. The sample size of matches is small, but a tremendous win at home to Arsenal is nullified by a dreadful home loss to Fulham.

You went out of your way to point out to me yesterday that I should be expecting a win over Fulham. So, you've answered your own question.

Given we’ve averaged just over 1 point per game I under Dyche I expect we’ll finish on 35 or 36 points.

Might be enough, might not.

There’s 7 games left and only one of them against a big 6 team and that’s at home. Absolutely no reason we can’t take points. If we don’t then we’ll go down simple as that. Crying it in thought before it’s even happened is bizarre. We beat Arsenal at home and took points away at City and Chelsea. We’ve also lost at home to Southampton. No results are predictable. We’re not certain to stay up but by the same token we’re not certain to go down.
The fat lady hasn't even warmed up yet.

Every time we reach an 'opportunity' moment, we completely bottle it. All the results below us went our way and we messed up, when we could have been quite relaxed tonight. What a farce of a club we've become.
