FFP is the reason we had to get rid of James Digne Richarlison Allan, it’s the reason Ancelotti isn’t here. I don’t know why any Everton fan would be in support of it.

Allan was crap like, and Ancelotti would’ve joined Real Madrid regardless.

FFP did not stop us spending extortionate amounts of money and outspending most teams in the league apart from 2 or 3. We did it anyway with no actual regard for the rules. We’re just so incompetent we spent it on 95% turd footballers.

After yesterday I’ve moved closer from denial phase into acceptance. We were terrible. The game has moved on and we’ve not adjusted to it and learned nothing from last seasons great escape. Last season the fans got the team over the line but it feels different this time around. I don’t know what we are trying to do on the pitch and lack identity. If we do go down so be it, it may finally trigger a change in how the club operates.

Assuming it still can in 3-4 years time without some grotesque wool merger with Southport and Marine.

You could also argue that with the amount of money we spent we should have been in Europe and earning more money generally (prize money and sponsorships). We blew it. The war in Ukraine also ensured we wouldn't get any ludicrous USM sponsorships deals.

I agree FFP favours the scab 6. And I very much doubt we'd get into the champions league. But decision making at the top properly ruined us. FFP breeches are just the latest symptom of that. We should be comfortably 5th-10th with the investment put in until the last couple of years.
