Agree it’s huge , it’s whether the bulk of the damage will have been done .

Clearly a huge amount occurred under lampard , the doucoure red card and subsequent necessary tinkering followed by the Fulham result and performance . I just worry we’ve left ourselves too much even with those returning . The next two games are obviously huge but feel like we keep saying that .
Yeh, we need to step up to our best for this run in
These four will help with that no doubt

Everyone ? Well someone releases an antagonistic letter on the eve of a huge match having previously tried to slander the fanbase before another huge match a couple of months ago .

You are right though everyone I know is all over the show over this and i appreciate and envy the “there are more important things in life” people but to plenty this is a big part of their lives . Friday evening as Evertonians were preparing for a 5 or 6 hour coach to London or paying a £100 for a train ‘our chairman ‘ thought it was the perfect opportunity to stick the boot in again .

Mate it’s incredible that the situation were in this relegation battle and fans as doing all they can to inspire the players the chairman seems actively intent on pushing us to the trapdoor .

Criminal

The whole thing at the moment (as it was in Jan) is unnecessary and undermining, wont derail the thread as i posted loads on it yesterday in the Kenwright thread and its a waste of energy and focus at the moment mate and to be honest im living on my nerves just focusing on the football. Im angry with this administration - but im pretty certain they are shot and its a matter of time until they bleed out - it will fall short ultimately in my opinion, the problem is the owner - would be my take.

A separation from the administration from the institution is required for the next 6, not forgetting - as i say - in a long number of years this is the worst top to bottom management of the club i remember and the squad is a product and representation of that. But the institution is at risk, not just for us but all those coming after and who are growing into it - protecting that has to be the focus and all externals need dampening until after fixture 38.

As for the threat, people cope differently - some become obsessed - others will try and avoid or apathy - classic fight or flight - there is an added complication this year in the sense - i think some feel they are conflicted as they may see supporting the club as defacto supporting a hated administration and some are tired and want whatever faith awaits us just to happen so they have clarity and deal with whatever our faith is and not live with the tension - takes all types and everyone will cope in their own way - but it need unity.

Absolutely how we got here is criminal though and continues to be - the chairman's statement was unnecessary, selfish, undermining and triggering of all that i mention above.

This evening I've looked at the fixtures of the bottom 5 teams and tried to predict the results without blue tinted glasses on. I've been as honest as I possibly can without any bias for the first time.

I actually have Southampton and Leicester staying up and us going down. Obviously there will be some surprise results.

Fixtures:

Everton

Newcastle h - draw
Leicester a - draw
Brighton a - loss
Man city h - loss
Wolves a - draw
Bournemouth h - win

Total of 34 points for Everton.

Leicester

Leeds a - draw
Everton h - draw
Fulham a - loss
Liverpool h - draw
Newcastle a - loss
West ham h - win

Total of 34 points, finishing above Everton on GD.

Leeds

Leicester h - draw
Bournemouth a - draw
Man city a - loss
Newcastle h - loss
West ham a - loss
Spurs home - win

Leeds on 34. Probably below Everton and Leicester on goal difference

Forest

Brighton h - loss
Brentford a - draw
Southampton h - loss
Chelsea a - loss
Arsenal h - loss
Palace a - win

31 points for forest.

Southampton

Bournemouth h - win
Newcastle a - loss
Forest a - win
Fulham h - win
Brighton a - loss
Liverpool h - win, as the RS won't be bothered.

36 points.

I have it sadly as

16. Soton 36 points
17. Leicester 34 but good GD
18. Everton
19. Leeds
20. Forest
I just can’t see so many teams getting so few points.. (although this is a good bit of work!).
For me, we need to be in touch after the next four games. If we come out of those in touching distance then I expect us to win the last two.
One of the teams will beat someone we don’t expect them to, and that could well be us…it was last season

if southampton beat liverpool at home and liverpool need a win to get into europe.....

remember burnley last season needed to beat newcastle at home to stay up and lost 2-0 to a newcastle team with nothing to play for

I cannot wait till the entire lot are ran from this club, Owner, Chairman, Board and players who have creamed off us.

It makes me physically ill that this club is on its knees begging for its life
If it was up to me I’d be long rid of anyone in the squad with no bottle for the fight or stealing a wage, keep the core of pros (which for me is Tarkowski, Coady, Pickford, Coleman, Gueye, DCL) that give a damn and promote the U21s who’d likely give more a toss at lesser pay than say Maupay, Mykolenko, Holgate etc

Agreed there will be some surprising results.

I don't think we will but if we win Thursday I think we will just above stay up.

True, and I think if city win the fa cup then the europa league goes to 6th place and conference league 7th?

That's what I think anyway.

OK we'll agree to disagree on that one mate lol

I'd potentially take Pickford for his experience although I don't particularly rate him and I'd have Tarkowski. Struggling after that

I think you're a bit giddy after that win.

Leicester looked safe a couple of months back when they won back to back against Villa and Spurs. They then fell apart.

As I said: if you go and beat leeds then fair enough - and we'll benefit too. I just dont see it though. Leicester are flakey and if they get beat against Leeds and we take points off you, you really are in trouble.

You will when our stadium becomes the world's biggest whore because our puny Championship (or even League One?!) money can't pay the rent.
I won’t Everton FC like all football clubs are Multi million pound businesses that exploits emotional bonds in order to make money. Football is entertainment, a distraction nothing more. It creates amazing wealth because of its popularity. But ultimately in real life, it doesn’t matter. Apart from the money making aspect do you think Everton FC give a toss about you?

In all honesty mate, I want them all gone. I’ve never hated a team so much, and I can remember the 90’s relegation teams.

These players make me sick. The only person I feel sorry for is Seamus
