For example and there are many more examples, Palace was a good result because they are on the back of 3 wins. So how come, when Newcastle score 6 against Spurs it doesn't give them any extra confidence or momentum going into the next game?

If Leeds beat them and we lose Thursday , a Leeds win against Bournemouth at the weekend puts so much pressure on us on the Monday , a defeat is deffo the final nail in the coffin imo
