Dave, you keep using each team's previous games to back up your argument as to why Everton will benefit. For example and there are many more examples, Palace was a good result because they are on the back of 3 wins. So how come, when Newcastle score 6 against Spurs it doesn't give them any extra confidence or momentum going into the next game?
Doesn't that back up my point rather than yours? I think it does you know.

I was hopeful before Fulham game. But I realise we cant score goals. We could theoretically eek out 6 draws but we have Newcastle and Man City. So more likely 4 draws and a wildcard win v Bournemouth but unlikely gives us 7 points. That means 35 points.

Now look, I have some shmpathy with this. A cultural reset, a chance to be top dog again And get our MoJo back etc…
but on the flip side, there’s the chances of bankruptcy and the end of the club as we know it, so I’m out.
To be clear I firstly hope we stay up and it just isn’t an issue , secondly I hope any theorising I do about the impact of relegation is wrong and if it happened we’d bounce immediately back and we could all enjoy dayouts to Rotherham, Bristol and Plymouth but I’m terrified of the prospect . The real chance the club imploded and we turn into another Sunderland and we continue to lose future generations of fans to the RS and become a standing joke in our city hoping we can afford to pay the bills is too much . I simply don’t see an upside , certainly not one worth risk the entire survival of the club .

Why be logical when you can catastrophise further?
...by the same people who have stated clearly and on many occasions that "Everton were relegated last week against Fulham".

But they still demand the right to retain a belief we'll survive...but only just enough so they can deny it'll happen and they can attack anyone who still makes a case for it.

These people have zero credibility.

You told us all week prior to that game we would beat Fulham. Not winning that game clearly impacts our chances.

It’s dangerous and also impossible to make forecasts.. but I think it’s easy to forget how dreadful the teams around us are (as are we) and one win changes everything for the team that does it.
Yeah I think the potential lack of control is driving the anxiety….we know where our failings are and so concentrate on them maybe more than we do our rivals but honestly every time we or one of rivals plays it feels like a lottery draw

Why dangerous? If wrong do you get struck down by a bolt of lightning or something lol
The Greeks used to say that if you let your fears be known, the gods will hear them and make them come true

the Greeks of course got battered by Rome and shouldn't be listened to, but I think it's something to do with that

Ha ha ha ha.

I stated many times before that game that Fulham were better than us and started out as favourites.

FFS, do you think my head buttons up at the back?
Fair enough

But there is no game we can look at it and be confident of a win. We dont score goals and dont even try to score goals. That's what separates us from our rivals. They have all scored more and have potential to score more.

We can of course get 1 nil wins but you cant rely on winning 1 nil often and often need luck to do it.
