Single games are very difficult to predict but the league is easier to predict. It is no surprise that the bottom few teams are who they are equally it is no surprise the teams at the top. Yeah, you will get the odd anomaly but it is looking for the anomaly expecting to win games against the trend. In your example above, At the time, I think I am right in saying Liverpool hasn't won an away game this year, and nor had they scored an away goal from open play against any team in the bottom half. Maybe Bournemouth v Liverpool result wasn't as unsuspecting as you illude
They beat Newcastle at Newcastle about 3 weeks before.

People cant see Everton getting 8 points or so, but CAN see the utter tat around us easily reaching that tally of points.

:coffee:
We can’t score goals…that’s the problem though …
so, people (probably rightly) assume there’s more chance of other teams getting those points.
Leicester have way way more quality than us, so I understand why people assume they will escape. I think it’s between us and Leeds for the last place myself.

We scored 9 goals under Dyche and won 13 points.

Teams above need less of course.

Funnily enough last season from middle of April an 7-8 games left these were the points hauls:

Everton- 11 points from last 8 games.
Burnley- 11 points from last 8 aswell.
Leeds- 9 points from last 8.

So all three did better than a point a game in that run as desperation really kicked in.

Yes. I've seen us get what most thought was a hard fought well earned draw against a cheating Spurs team and yesterday I watched us go to a team bang in fornm and handle them with ease in a game we could have won if Calvert Lewin had taken his chance.

I dont see any collapse.
I don't see any improvement in results

Brighton putting so much into this and likes of Welbeck picked up injuries.

I think Forest know deep down that's their last real chance on Wednesday. Win that and they have Brentford and Southampton right after.
