I've crunched the numbers and have us on 36 points in 16th with Leeds, Forest and Soton down.

I really had to stop myself giving us a win against City so my numbers may be corrupted by a tinge of bias
If everton had a pound for every time I’d done that predictor thing these last two seasons then I reckon our goal scoring worries would be over as we’d have the cash to be putting a bid in for haaland

I can't understand why we would just write off Brighton away.

Three points to be won there. They're Brighton, not AC Milan 1994.
My thoughts too,I’m looking at a point Thursday,a win monday,a point at Brighton, zilch v city perhaps a narrow defeat to not damage GD,a point at wolves, and a must win three points v Bournemouth giving us 37 would leave us praying it’s enough, obviously if we could squeak a victory at either brighton or wolves would give us a little more wiggle room but our away form obviously does not give cause for hope.

Last two szeason don there we've won and drawn.

No reason to write those points off.

Definitely not,we are in a six game season with five other clubs,we hopefully will have our first choice eleven to call on fingers, toes and everything else crossed!!!
They;ve had a great season again but I wonder if they start to drift a bit now. They have a distant chance of Europe but that's all it is.

Hopefully they bounce back on Wednesday and see off Forest like.

That sounds all well and good but everyone was assuming Fulham would be a certain three points. Didn't happen and I also think Spurs was a missed opportunity aswell once Doucoure lost his cool.

This squad has only won once all season when falling behind in a game so that's a huge concern for me when you look at some of the opponents left. There's no way any of Newcastle, Man. City or Brighton will be tentative in first half of games, they'll come flying out of the traps looking to go a couple of goals up and finish the game off in first half hour.

Leicester away will be more cat and mouse at least, going ahead there would be huge.

They are 4 points off 5th with three games in hand on Spurs so bit stretching to say it's distant especially if they win at Forest which is what everyone on here wants.

Even with average run they'll finish above Spurs and that alone should get them 7th.

I know, there will probably be different twists and turns in those remaining games to what I posted before, but somehow I feel we will have to eke a minimum nine points to give ourselves a fighting chance of survival,I don’t care really how the points are accumulated!!!

Solar system,Pluto fc have more and they aren't even a planet

"Newcastle scored loads today and Brighton got beat and played extra time....everything's gone against us..."

I think that's in us.

That draw was underestimated yesterday. Not our best team going there and neutralising a team in great form.

If we work like that in the remainder of games and get a goal or even two in 4 or 5 of them we'll get home - just.

What a team….I remember them smashing Barcelona 4-0 in the (then) European Cup Final - I think the Arrigo Sacchi version were better than the Capello managed version but still great
Yes, agreed. The Saachi version was sensational, but a little more vulnerable. The Capello version more dominant. I would argue that the 4-0 win over Barcelona in 1994 and the 5-0 win over Real Madrid in 1989 were the best two performances ever in European football. Our own Carlo was among the goals in the 89 game...

I don’t recall immediately the 89 game (so will take a look at the game) but yes they were an incredible side….had our ban not occurred and had the club reacted better to the ban by trying to strengthen, it would have been interesting to have seen our development in European footballing terms
