I think we will stay up, to not think otherwise is unbearable. I do worry what next season will look like, it cant get worse but I don't see how it improves, however we have to focus on the now, and if we can scrape a few point together we will survive last day I'm sure of it.

There will be some unexpected results. Its pretty much inevitable and happens during the run most years. We need to make sure some of them are for us.

Its hard to see how we do it but its still possible. All 6 games are winnable if we go into the games with the right approach and get a bit of luck.

Leeds are rubbish.. but they can atleast score goals…
We can’t, that’s the concern.
there’s only three teams in major European leagues who have scored fewer goals.
That makes it so much harder for us.
I still think Leeds go down over us, but the worry is goals
We all know thats a huge issue that isn't going away between now and the end of the season, but leeds, leicester, forest, Bournemouth and soton are also poor teams by prem standards with varying issues and different reasons for being down there. We are still very much in this fight

I love your interpretation of my post as 'analysis', it's a very lazy assessment of what I wrote. And if you don't understand that derby games take on a different style of football you haven't analysed many derby games. The reason you have not personally experienced many strange results is that RS have for a long time been that much better than Everton and it is more difficult to get a strange result with the gulf in quality. However, Everton do tend to raise their game against the RS and the home fans also raise their noise levels for the derby game. The fact that Bournemouth v Saints is a derby game will have an impact on the game.
If we don’t get at least 4 points from the next 2 we probably need a win away at Brighton, which you just can’t see happening, unless they have their eye on the fa cup final

Putting the FFP matter to one side as we don’t know how that plays out but part of me thinks if we survive this season and Dyche gets a preseason and they can manoeuvre a bit in the market to bring in the type of player he wants we might be ok for a couple of seasons. Won’t be pretty mind

I do admire your optimism Dave, it is extremely refreshing. However, we also have the experience of Richy firing on all cylinders, which we don’t have this season. DCL also has legs made of cheese strings. Where are the results going to come from?
We'll win one home game and get draws in the other two and pick up a win away at Leicester or Wolves.

There's 36 points there for us.

Is there more for others? Maybe.

We'll find out.

Possibly, yes. Said it the other week, some of them look like they are waiting for someone to fall in behind and follow a la Ritchy. Won’t be Gray that’s for sure.

If McNeill scores against Newcastle, someone needs to land a lit flare right in his path as he wheels away. Need a hero, and not sure who is going to step forward.

The mystery of Dom’s availability has been frustrating, but I’m surprised and heartened by his sudden social media postings aimed directly at the fanbase; hopefully indicates he’s well up for the responsibility.
If he starts games we can expect a goal at least I think. He fashinled a good chance for himself yesterday.

McNeil and Gray will have to step up with a goal or two and the CBs and Calvert Lewin at corners and free kicks can cause damage.

But let's not run away with the idea that Leeds and Leicester are still getting loads of goals...they are not.

Let's not do the kopites' job for them. We are far from down yet. The jubilation that would be seen across the red half of our city if we were to be relegated to the lower divisions would be so unbearable that I'm considering emigrating!

I remember Wimbledon and I remember Coventry. I remember the trepidation and ultimately the sheer joy and relief of the occasion - our great club had survived against impossible odds. I didn't write us off when we were 2-0 down against Wimbledon and needed to win to stay up, so with 24 points still to play for and with 3 dire teams still below us I refuse to give up.

Dyche, rather uncharacteristically, made some mistakes against Fulham and against Palace. We have also sorely missed Doucoure since being sent off. However, our overall home record under Dyche is solid and that will keep us up... as long as we Blues keep the faith.

We fans need to treat every remaining home game as a cup final, just as we did last season. With just a few games to go last season we were actually in the relegation zone and Burnley were very much in the ascendency. But we stayed up and maintained our Premier League status... just as we will this season.

We are Everton. We don't do relegation. In our entire 140-year history we have been relegated just twice and we have enjoyed more seasons in the top division than any other club.

Resigning ourselves to relegation achieves nothing. It simply plays into the hands of those who would love to see us on our knees and relegated to the oblivion of the lower leagues.

Keep the faith, Blues.
