Confident I’ll forget the game is on, enjoy some episodes of Rick and Morty then remember that Evert’n were playing when I see the result on Sky Schwartz News.

The worst bit is that even if we win the only emotion will be relief that we live to fight another day. There would be no cause for celebration. Relief or despair, that's it.

Can't wait until it's all over and our fate is known. It will be easier to deal with than this purgatory.

I guess it has been said before but even if lose tonight we still have fixtures that we could get sufficient points from. Yes on current showing that would seem highly unlikely but teams often put a run of unexpected results together at the end of season to save themselves. Of course others don’t and are relegated. Just got to keep going and hope for the best
We`ve also teams go on poor runs at the wrong time, 1 win in 9 suggests we are doing just that..... We only have 4 games left, disregard Brighton away and City at home....

It’s the last bit of the old proper Everton left, after chairman bill, propped up by the clueless moshiri have done to the club.

It’s there even after they have eroded and diluted the very essence of what Everton is.
Just a shame though if we can’t allow it to continue but your right it will always be there but we would have to be promoted quickly, not sure how many seasons extra we have over our nearest rivals

How have we got on in the last 5 years in our last 5 fixtures? I`m glad you asked.....

3 of the last 5 years we have got enough from these games, last year being the best but the 2 previous seasons were horrendous.

To be fair to the man it was working, working to the point of making us safe with games left to play.
Problem lies still with the fact he inherited a paper thin and truly disgraceful bunch of players the board and the DOF thought was acceptable for a PL club.
We (in my humble opinion) were doing fine and outpointing all our rivals in his reign, right up to when Doucoure saw red, followed by injury to Onana and Coleman.
It instantly and I mean instantly fell apart when we lost them. Dyche had found his first 11 very cleverly i thought too and had now lost it.
Who did he have as back up? Davies and Garner, jeez, right back was a struggle too, unsolvable.

We can only hope with that 11 back we can kick off from where we were and climb once more.
We now have Lewin as an impact sub over Simms if he sticks with his favoured 11 which I'm hoping is another bonus.

I agree with all of this, and I am happy with Dyche on the whole.

Flipside, though, is that a lot of managers tend to have a new manager bounce. Leeds might say the same about Gracia, I wouldn't know.

Dyche, given this side from the start of June last year would have them midtable comfortably. Maybe have had a season like Palace's. A few scares but capable of little runs that get us out the danger zone.
