To be fair to the man it was working, working to the point of making us safe with games left to play.
Problem lies still with the fact he inherited a paper thin and truly disgraceful bunch of players the board and the DOF thought was acceptable for a PL club.
We (in my humble opinion) were doing fine and outpointing all our rivals in his reign, right up to when Doucoure saw red, followed by injury to Onana and Coleman.
It instantly and I mean instantly fell apart when we lost them. Dyche had found his first 11 very cleverly i thought too and had now lost it.
Who did he have as back up? Davies and Garner, jeez, right back was a struggle too, unsolvable.

We can only hope with that 11 back we can kick off from where we were and climb once more.
We now have Lewin as an impact sub over Simms if he sticks with his favoured 11 which I'm hoping is another bonus.
He lost the plot for United - but it was always a stretch we'd get something there.

Fulham was a mess though.

Dont lose. Stay in the shake up.

Obvioulsy a win propels us out of the gloom into the light, but a draw and 29 points keeps us within striking distance of those above who we'd be on level terms with or just a point behind.

If we're on level terms with 10-15 minutes to go I dont want to see an all out assault to get a winner.

Level headedness is required now.

Just found out that my local team haven't won the league since 1986 and the domestic cup since 1997. Seems it's no coincidence my dad is a fan of both clubs. The man is masochist without us knowing it.

I guess it has been said before but even if lose tonight we still have fixtures that we could get sufficient points from. Yes on current showing that would seem highly unlikely but teams often put a run of unexpected results together at the end of season to save themselves. Of course others don’t and are relegated. Just got to keep going and hope for the best

Was disappointed in Brighton. Fancy coming to our place and tonking us 4-1, then rolling over at Forest and getting stuffed. Just nothing goes for us. We have to do it ourselves. Starting tonight!
Hahaha who'd ever think that in a sport as globally big as football, you should have to do things yourself 😲

I mean it's completely mind baffling 🤔

( sorry that wasn't meant to be a dig at your post, I just couldn't help myself....

Google his net worth, and his missus is a celebrity.

He's not gonna be living in a council house
He's a good down to earth bloke, thats all that matters to me. And Olivia's not quite his missus just yet....but watch this space as the marriage is getting its own TV show

One of the most important games we have played this season, unfortunately it shouldn’t be but because of a poor manager along with a string of other excuses, here we are. I am sure every single fan will contribute to lift our players and push them across the line. Defeat is not an option here, we will win.

We need to win but hard to say if a draw would be good. We could possibly beat Wolves and Bournemouth. Outside chance of beating Leicester. But this team lacks character. No talismans.

Those who think relegation is death - look at Burnley.

They have just enjoyed a fantastic season.

I'd actually rather the joy and enjoyment of that than another of feeling sick to my stomach in a relegation battle next season.
how are you gona
I think if you are in the pool of clubs that doesn't challenge, and we haven't ever been part of that group as a PL club, then it doesn't take very much to slide into mediocrity and from there not much more again to where we are currently.

Excluding Man City, and of the Premier League ever-presents, we have been consistently and significantly outperformed by every other team. As much as anything, when you belong to the "meh" group of clubs, the chance that you''ll get sucked into a dogfight for at least one season becomes statistically very high.

Each season that re-occurs, the chances of escape diminish. Sooner or later your number comes up. Every other club outside the traditional (present) top six has seen this happen to them.

To that end, I'm disappointed but not at all surprised in how things have gone. All it took was bad management and we have had spectacularly bad management,
great post laa iv been flappin over this happening since that koeman season for me we never learned from that scare

A draw would be good, mainky because just to get one right now is going to take an effort, and as you say we have 3 more games coming we are far more likely to win

Will be quite annoyed if we are relegated with a game to go and then play passionate blissful pressure free football to batter Bournmouth 8-0.

No idea whether Goodison will be empty or on fire if that game is a dead rubber, which is a real possibility if we don’t win very very soon.
I am definitely not going to the Bournemouth game if we are already relegated. Can you imagine the animosity or worse from supporters towards the main stand where the hierarchy sit, probably against the millionaire players as well. The media will dwell on our public humiliation. I will keep my grieving private.
