Burnley have completely overhauled their squad, it is now a million miles better than ours. McNeil who’s been one of our “better” players wouldn’t get anywhere near this current Burnley side.

A overhaul left for Kompany to do from top to bottom. It panned out without expectations

We won't do that. Wed be expected to come back up. Which is the scary thing.

I can’t see any end to this cycle in the next couple of seasons. Stay up and we’ll likely have a weaker squad and in the same position again next spring.
Go down and there is no given right to be in contention for automatic promotion. We’re likely going to be a Cup Final for 10-15 teams and I can’t see any of the squad likely to still be on our books being up for the long slog.

2 facts that are totally irrelevant to today's situation
1 if we win are last 5 games we will still have have less points than 1994 when we survived on the last day.
2 in 1998 when we also survived on the last day we didn't win any of our last 5 games.

Everton could rule the world. Dixie did. He took a Royal Blue army to the nazis. There was nothing left to conquer; the world was his. But Dixie is dead. His empire is gone. And so we live in evil days; the free men of Goodison have turned on each other, instead of their proper enemies: those who envy all the Toffees have done. Dixie must weep, if the dead weep. I will weep in his place, but I will also hope. The world turns; what was may come again. The Fates still spin the web of men's lives. So now, perhaps the gods wish blues to be great again. Perhaps a new Dixie will take up the sword, bring order where there is chaos, remake the world of men into a better place... perhaps...

I'm quietly looking forward to it.

A fresh challenge, new teams. Playing more often. The opportunity to properly integrate some of the younger players. Hopefully, also the opportunity to flush the board and implement a new structure that will set the tone for improvement.

I love the club, I always will. That won't change if they get relegated, that won't change if they languish in the Championship for a few years.

The current board do not deserve the supporter base Everton have, the fans will always stand by the club.

For those going through a hard time at the moment, I understand it's not an easy time. But you're born not manufactured. It may not even happen when it's all said and done, but if it does, don't stop being an Evertonian.

Can’t really add anything to all that’s already been said.

Looking like 2 wins and a draw needed. Very grim.

Even the now “easiest” game is at home to Bournemouth. A team who have won their last 3 away games.

If we are to end up down, I want it over asap.

Can’t be doing another 4 weeks of this for it to go to the final game to end up ruined.
