it is about picking points up, but obviously the less games to play, the longer we are in the bottom 3 - the more the need to pick up 3 points becomes. I would rather we approach it with that mentality now rather than see the odd freak result from our rivals, where we may need to win with two games to go….these players aren’t great under pressure
This is true! But in our situation there is also an advantage to just getting ahead of our rivals as the games are running out. Stressful but prevents them from doing anything about it. I think it will go to the last game though and a win tomorrow would be such a boost to morale.

Fixtures to play:

30pts (-32) Notts Forest - Southampton (H), Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H) and Crystal Palace (A) = 1pt / 31pts
30pts (-24) Leeds - Man City (A), Newcastle (H), West Ham (A) and Tottenham (H) = 0pts / 30pts
29pts (-13) Leicester - Everton (H), Fulham (A), Dirty Reds (H), Newcastle (A) and West Ham (H) = 5pts / Total 34pts
28pts (-25) Everton - Leicester (A), Brighton (A), Man City (H), Wolves (A) and Bournemouth (H) = 5pts / Total 33pts
24pts (-32) Southampton - Notts Forest (A), Fulham (H), Brighton (A) and Dirty Reds (H) = 1pt / Total 25pts

When you look at their schedule, I don't see Forest, Leeds or Southampton getting any more points (except where they share the points in the Forest vs Southampton game).

Looking at ours then I can see us getting five points and staying up - the sooner we get them the better.

Generally I would agree (although I think just 1 point for Forest is cutting it fine when they have Southampton at home) but the difficulty is factoring in the shock results…..there are always shock results at this stage if the season…I hope their ours in a positive way, but that is why I feel that we have to win tomorrow (Also just so we can breathe a little more comfortably a little earlier in terms of fan anxiety)

It would be absolutely huge if we could win tomorrow. If we do that I’d be confident of staying up as it also keeps Leicester down there

Leicester are going to have their hands full with a resurgent Liverpool sniffing a European spot.

Mason has Spurs fighting too and those players will be auditioning for Pochettino, so Leeds will have their hands full as well.
I don’t think forest and leeds get many more points. Could see forest beating soton but after that nothing.

The question now becomes can we claw them back in. We need two wins I think. Feel of the club not in a good place, players and dyche need to turn in a performance on Monday to turn it around. We win that and I think momentum carries us over the line.

Fair comments.

I think we can rely on Leeds and Forest being utter trash for the remainder of the season, so it's up to us to make things happen. If we do we'll get safe.

Overall, this is going to the final game. If we can make it to that date on decent terms (i.e. needing a win to stay up with no required help from others dropping points) than I'd take that now.

Maybe though we can do better than that. With a lot of courage and a bit of luck we can make a couple of wins happen at places like Leicester and Wolves or even Brighton.

Football at this stage of the season has this habit of throwing up draws that suit neither team. I think tomorrow will be one of those.

I refuse to believe we're down until it's confirmed, but I think we need a minimum of six points and just can't see it.

If we have Onana Doucoure Gueye and Coleman for the 5 upcoming games I think we pull off a few results that save us.
I think we'll need more than four players - but if a combination of Pickford, Kean, Tarkowski, Myko, Gray, Iwobi, McNeil and DCL can join them then I agree.

….it was quite amusing when I first read that on here earlier today but it sort of loses its tarnish after 6 times.
Not sure what you hope to get out of your comment but if it makes you feel better, I apologise that I don't follow every comment on here. Whilst you have been stuck to the thread (and no doubt stuck to other stuff), I've had a nice family afternoon out!!!!
