Football at this stage of the season has this habit of throwing up draws that suit neither team. I think tomorrow will be one of those.

I refuse to believe we're down until it's confirmed, but I think we need a minimum of six points and just can't see it.
Not convinced. Could easily see us staying up with a win against Leicester.
You could feasibly look at both Leeds and Leicesters run ins and question if they will get anymore points at all.
Forres as well have a tricky run in, other than the game against Southampton.
Sounds ridiculous but 31 could be enough.

Hope you're right brother. I can't see it, but I've been wrong that many times.

Leicester are going to have their hands full with a resurgent Liverpool sniffing a European spot.

Mason has Spurs fighting too and those players will be auditioning for Pochettino, so Leeds will have their hands full as well.

I was worried about Leeds-Spurs on final day but if Spurs show any motivation no chance Leeds keep a clean sheet, they'll probably concede 2-3 so won't be winning that game either.

These results basically make West Ham safe now so interested what they do in final two games regards team selection and how up players are for 50/50s. I assume the Leeds game is after the second leg of their european SF but could be wrong.

Think that's Leeds last hope now that West Ham just phone in a performance but even then feels the best they'd do is battle to a draw.

West Ham could easily lose their next 3 (City, United, Brentford away). So even if Leeds are still on 30 points when they face off West Ham would have to take the game extremely seriously if they are still on 34. Another result out of those 3 games though and they are on the beach. West Ham continuing to lose is an important factor

We badly need to build some resilience so we can cope with some adversity and stay in games. We were the better team in the first half against Newcastle and conceded a second goal against the run of play against Fulham. On both occasions we just wilted instead of digging in and believing we could get something out of games. Leicester have good attacking options but Gueye, Onana and Doucoure should be looking to dominate their midfield and they are suspect defensively. We need to capitalise on their weaknesses and not just roll over.

Would be a very interesting twist mate but I fancy West Ham to get a result before the Leeds game

Completely agree….

I would be surprised if Leeds or Forest pick up any more points now for the remainder of the season.

If we can beat Leicester on Monday I will be supporting Southampton at the weekend! That is their only winnable game.

If we beat Leicester I cannot see them getting more than 32/33 points either.

So win on Monday and then if we can pick up 3 points elsewhere then I think that is done. 34 points should see us safe…. 35 will.

Agree. If Leeds or Forest had won this weekend, tomorrow would feel like win or bust. As it is, we’re still in touch even if we lose. Leeds run in is really tough and Forest’s is harder than ours. A point tomorrow if we could follow it up with a point against Brighton or City could get us out of the bottom 3.

Extremely lucky with the results this weekend. the bar is so low that 2 draws might get us on the way, but we just can't depend on the last 2 results = what if we have an injury, bad luck and need goals - we have had such poor return with shots etc, we can't take this into the final 2 games.

Before Villa, I was looking with some predictions for the *brilliant* target of 42 points...

Villa (H) - 3 pts / RESULT 0 POINTS
Arsenal (A) - 0 / RESULT 0 POINTS
Forest (A) - 3 / RESULT 1 POINT
Brentford (H) - 1 / RESULT 3 POINTS
Chelsea (A) - 0 / RESULT 1 POINT
Spurs (H) - 1 / RESULT 1 POINT
Man U (A) - 0 / RESULT 0
Fulham (H) - 1 / RESULT 0
Palace (A) - 3 / revised to a more hopeful realistic 1 point / RESULT 1
Newcastle (H) - 1 / revised 0 / RESULT 0

UPDATE: 7 points out of my target of 13 points by this point. Now it looks like even 35 points might save us, so if we need 7 points from the next 5 games, we need 2 away wins in 5, and we have only had 1 win in the last 10. (I'm trying not to 'depend' on a final day win.

Leicester (A) - 3
Brighton (A) - 1
Man City (H) - 0
Wolves (A) - 3
Bournemouth (H) - 0
