Also Leeds will probably get a new manager bounce..... Leicester have too much quality I feel... They can score goals...

I will look back and think of the gray goal against Leeds the was / wasn't offside.

Gordon giving away that free kick to Southampton

Wolves game letting a goal in the last kick of the game
What quality did leicester show last night? Both goals came from mistakes by ourselves. People need to stop thinking leicester are some amazing side. When Everton go to your gaff and have that amount of chances then you are the worst team in the league.

Next weekend is massive.

When Leeds inevitably lose to City (like we will), we’ve got a chance to get out the drop zone (albeit for an hour or so) by not losing to Brighton.

I’m just hoping psychological boosts like that can help the team talk. I expect a pasting, but small margins.

That’s why it was a huge 2 points dropped.

Started off pressing relentlessly, and winning every second ball, and they weren’t up for it.

Every long ball their defenders didn’t know what to do. Panicking every time.

That said, they still had the pace on the counter and there’s still some quality in there in Vardy, Maddison and Barnes.
Their run in, is a bit like ours, but will Liverpool be on the beach? Their final game, how up for it will West Ham be? Especially if their next game is a cup final.

I’m struggling to see how we can get 6 points, so to finish above Leicester we’d need to get 2 points more than them due to Goal Difference.

Explain?
Nothing about last night changed my thinking.
Not having a pop at you by the way, just interested in other's opinions.
No problem

I just saw more fight and desire yesterday which will at least give us a chance in our remaining games if our players show the same (debatable)

No fan of DCL, missing that sitter was bad bad bad, but he's the best we have and he led the line well which enabled others to get into the game.

Other teams in our relegation dog fight (Forest,Leeds,Leic,Soton) aren't playing any better than us based on that showing.

.. and I only said edging closer to 50/50 that we stay up!

Obviously we won’t know if it’s a good point or not until the end of the season.

Did play well though and some positives like the amount of chances we created away from home, next challenge is to see if this side can string two good performances together back to back…

Standards aren't high right now, but last night was infinitely better than what we've seen against Newcastle and Fulham.

We can get something at Brighton. We are eking out draws on the road as the games at Forest, Palace, and Leicester attest.

It's one game at a time. None of the sides around us are any great shakes, so nobody knows what's going to happen. Leicester have shown that they really are not all that. Any team playing us whose goalkeeper is man-of-the-match is to be treated as a Championship club - because there's every chance we will be quite soon.

That was a marginally better result for us than Leicester last night. They were at home and led 2-1 with a penalty to bury us. They passed it up. Sure we had chances, but that penalty is the pivotal moment that we need to cling on to.

We can get something at Brighton. If Southampton do likewise at Forest - or better, win - then we are inching our way to where we need to be. All very much still to play for. We might very well go down, but there's no waving the white flag here.

I think leicester stay up even after watching them last night. The goal difference they have is better than the rest. They are crap and they have a PE teacher managing them.

Everyone has sort of written off getting any points against Brighton so would be good if we could get a point atleast. Somehow.

I've never written off Brighton. I have always believed it was an opportunity for points. Maybe it's an age thing, but I have never looked at Brighton and Hove Albion as anything other than a plucky yo-yo club who we regularly swat aside. They're having a great season and are superbly managed as a club. But, Lads. It's Brighton.

Anyone who thinks we will get a point at Brighton needs to look at the facts last night, as well as people saying we played last night and Leicester as bad as they are, scored 2 goals and could have scored 6 penalty, Tarkowski saving on the line Vardy turning Keane inside out and hitting the bar, then again when Keane blunders for the umpteen time and let their winger skip past but our other defenders got hom out of it

I get it but hope the players don’t treat it like that and think they can show up and roll over Brighton due to their name.

I actually think it’s a good time to play them. They will be getting abit nervous with the chance of european football. Bit more pressure on them than a month or two ago. We have a full week of recovery and they play Thursday against United.

Actually, my point was having players with character and mental fortitude in the side, in any position, over the wet cardboard snowflakes of Keane, iwobi, holgate and Godfrey.

I stand by that line of thinking. Even though iwobi scored tonight - he was atrocious and went missing throughout or caused us problems - he’s a chancer and coward of a footbalker and I wouldn’t be arsed if he didn’t play for us again mate.

I’d take Tommy d over him all day.
Wow, Iwobi is by no means a top player, but calling him a chancer and a coward?

I didn't watch last nights game, but whenever I have seen Iwobi he is always looking for the ball, always trying to do something with it (often unsucessfully granted), and no matter what happens he is always trying to make himself available to his team mates.

If you are looking for someone that spends the whole game hiding, you have definitely picked the wrong guy for that.

Leicester were that bad they made Everton’s worst side in decades look ok. But we still didn’t win and could’ve easily got beat.

All last night did was boost our chances of not finishing bottom. We’re still going down though.
