No chance City go easy on us. They have Chelsea at home, Brighton away and Brentford away to finish up. I’d expect them to put Chelsea away but Brighton and Brentford away in a matter of days is a tricky last couple of games regardless of how good City look right now. I know we are inbetween the CL games but they will see our game as a very good chance to get 3 points and a little safety net going into the run in. They could play a few on the bench and still beat us handily. If they don’t come away from Madrid with a favourable result it could be interesting to see how they line up against us though.

Not about taking it easy on us. They got a few knocks in the Leeds game and we are sandwiched inbetween their CL games with Real Madrid. I think that will be their priority.

….interesting insight from Carragher is that he thrives on conflict and has a massive ego. Control freak I understand. Everton had players lined up that window Bobble says Benitez blocked to do his own thing.

i know Carragher and Gerrard brought Houlier into the dressing room at Istanbul to join in the celebrations of the ECL win & Benitez went mad. He did not want to share success with anybody. He was disliked by many of those who worked at the Reds.
I'm not so sure this is what happened - we spent 1.6m on players that window and have STILL been charged over that season's FFP. I won't defend Benitez over anything but I think the narrative he vetoed the likes of Dumfries or Diaz doesn't make sense, we clearly had no financial wiggle room to make those signings.

....I have no validation of that point either, but I’m sure he’s a totally obnoxious man.

West Ham getting the win courtesy of David deClanger means we cannot rely on Leicester or Leeds dropping more points against them. We have to get something at Brighton tomorrow. That something probably needs to be three points.

You’re telling people you don’t want to hear any positivity in a thread where your opinion is the outlier. I didn’t say you need permission, I suggested if you don’t want to hear it you can go elsewhere. If this thread was full of everyone saying we were already down like you it would be a pretty pointless discussion.
You didnt suggest at all - you told me to.

West ham were never really a concern even if they fo on to lose the game. All the teams below them ain't catching them anyway.

A draw will.do tomorrow. Yes a win would be great, but I would take a point.
I still believe, Leeds and Leicester get no more points this season.
