Nobody is saying that we will survive though and I see plenty of realism

There are five crap clubs in the league

One is likely down which leaves four clubs fighting over two safe places

All clubs have two hard and two more favourable fixtures in most people’s opinions (Leeds have already lost one of their hard ones)

We have as much chance as the others to get safe and although we didn’t get a win, we put in a better performance against Leicester, Iwobi brain farts aside

We’re not safe
We’re not down
It’s not over until it’s over
That’s realism

Anyone thinking west ham will go down are crazy mate.

They are far too good to go down.

No one thinks wham can go down mate, we just want them getting beat by United and still in and around the whole relegation mess when they play Leeds and Leicester.

No but there’s a bit of a difference between posting based on logic / rationale and posting with an air of fatalism and wearing a virtual sandwich board of ‘Everton’s end is nigh’ every time a goal goes in. Nothing is pre-determined, it may look like we will go down but that is not yet fact, and whilst there are games left it is open to all teams to step up.

By the way the same can be said for posters who hold steadfast in their belief we will survive without any shred of rationale behind their stance because statistically, although they are not infallible, you can’t look beyond bookies odds for the drop and only favourable results for us will change the probability of us dropping. I suspect by tomorrow night there will be more angst and hand wringing but I hope I am wrong.

Yeah, completely take your point. West Ham will now likely be mailing it by Leeds and Leicester now and no one will really be able to blame them. Unfortunately if West Ham do hold out here it's a result that could prove pretty significant to us.
