Player for player, where does our side rank compared to those at the bottom?

I would say Leeds and Leicester have better first xis especially when fully fit. Leeds have Rodrigo summerville gnonto etc. Leicester definitely have a better xi too with maddison, telemann, daka Barnes etc.

I'd say we have a better team than forest.

Saints are probably at least par with us, with lavia, alcarez, jwp.

Fact is we are where is expected with this set of players. We are a bottom 3 side. Failure to invest in January will cost us. We are one of the worst 3 sides in the league mates and we are not getting out of this no matter how much you analyse it.

Not getting any points at home vs Fulham, Villa or Newcastle is an absolute disgrace. It’s a lot to ask from this bunch to go to Brighton and get a result. Heck, even away to Wolves is going to be a massive challenge. I’m trying to stay positive but the odds aren’t in our favor. Come on, Everton!!! Pull your heads out and play for something tomorrow night!

We are in massive massive bother. Best indicator of that is that we have gone from saying we need X wins from Y games, to praying teams beat our rivals. Sad, but fair enough.

But we are now watching games in minute forensic detail between teams not even in relegation danger because depending on the result, their team selection, motivation, xG, running stats etc in a game 2 weeks from now might affect our safety based on goal difference.

At no point in recent months have we actually done our part in our own games. Couple of brave draws and a couple of capitulations.

Pessimists and optimists are just interpreting the same data and probabilities in different ways, but the data and probabilities are really bad. 🥹
Like a lot of us said last week…..draws were really cutting thr mustard and wins are needed and whilst last weeks draw want a bad result in isolation, it now means we need at least a couple of wins from our last four games.

And spurs at home. At the time we played them their players had absolutely chucked it in.
We cant win games. Simple as that. Personally i think people have marbles rolling round their head thinking we can win at Brighton. We cant beat teams on the crest of a slump at home.
Its pure hope and 10 hail marys tomorrow.

Lots of people thinking that Wolves game bails us out but they're decent at home and we're tragic away. I could see another draw potentially.

Worried that Leicester show us how to beat a Fulham team with nothing to play for tomorrow.

A few weeks ago I thought Verona were gone. They have somehow put a few points on the board and tonight beat Lecce away. 3 points clear of the drop with four matches left....

Can my beloved Everton please do something similar tomorrow....
Sorry I edited this- it was Lecce not Spezia as in my original post. @Wat Tyler

Leeds could have had a point at the Etihad, a worse Everton team than this one did get a point at the Etihad this season.

I’m absolutely not just writing off the Brighton and City games just because a load of moaners on here keep posting how rubbish we are over and over again multiple times a day. We are capable of taking points in both games and that should be the target.
