Leicester - narrative/expectation all season has been they're too good to go down, and will put together some results. I shared their fan forum before they played us and they all seemed very confident they'd stay up.

Now is the first time I think it's switched - the expectation is they could down given their next 2 fixtures. That expectation can sometimes relieve some pressure. They're not expected to get a result from their next two. That can be dangerous...
They’re not doing the dog work, it’s hard to switch that on.

Regardless of whether we stay up or not, these people need to pipe down over the summer. If we’re in the championship then we have a manager with experience of multiple promotions on a budget who already knows the squad. If we stay up then he deserves to carry on as it will have been a very good job.

The hipsters just need to take a summer off for once
Tbf most were singing Lampards praises last year after we escaped relegation as well due to how low morale got under Benitez so a similar situation now with Dyche potentially saving us from lampards poor season

Feel like am trying being a terrible doomonger but I just can't shake the fact there may be a nasty sting in tail somewhere.
Yeah, anything can still happen and there will be an unexpected result or two still to happen. On balance I’d have taken my chances at 34 before yesterday but 36 is the first number that looks fairly bulletproof. Get to 36 and 2 out of 3 of the following are required:

Leicester getting 2 wins from 3

Leeds getting 2 wins from 3 and overturning a 4 goal deficit, or getting two wins and a draw

Forest getting 4 points from 3 (or 3 and overturning a 10 goal deficit).

I can’t see more than one of those happening.

Yeah the thing with Leicester is that they don’t really look like they’re putting it all on the line. You’ve got two out of contract (Tielemans and Soyuncu) and Maddison almost certainly off, possibly Barnes too, no matter what happens. That’s basically the core of their team who are offski and are you really going to risk your big move in crunch 50/50s for a team you’re leaving?

All good points but I couldn't see us going to Brighton and scoring 5 yesterday...to coin a phrase it's a funny old game.

I just hope to god you're right kind sir.

I don't think Leeds will get another win. With the RS creeping up on those CL places I can see Newcastle and even Spurs just winning and winning by quite a serious margin. You never know what West Ham will do but it's at the London Stadium so you'd fancy West Ham to get something.
Leicester worry me. I think they have the toughest run and you'd expect Liverpool and Newcastle to beat them comfortably too but but as long as they have players like Maddison they have a punchers chance. That said, the players look spent and their better players like Maddison will already be thinking about where they'll be playing next season. We really should have beaten them. Someone else said they're playing like a team that haven't actually accepted the situation they're in so that might go in our favour.
Forest have Chelsea away (do us a favour Frank), title chasing Arsenal at home and Palace away. They could quite easily not pick up another point this season

My heart says:
Leeds will get 1 more point.
Leicester will get 1 point.
and Forest no points.

My head disagrees and assumes Leeds and Leicester will win all their remaining games, and Southampton will go on a 3 game winning streak scoring 5 goals per game just to really rub it in.

I have no idea what we'll do. We could go get a point against City, put in a real battling performance and then tank against Wolves and Bournemouth. Or we batter wolves and be safe by the last game. Hell, we could even scrap a win against City you never know - it's unlikely but I thought getting a point at Brighton was unlikely. We could not pick up another point and still survive. What's nice now is that it's in our hands and as long as Dom stays fit, and Yerry stays fit we have a chance.

Leeds at home to Spurs on the final day is very dangerous. Spurs are a pathetic side and very cowardly, if we match Leeds’ result against Bournemouth though we should be fine. Yesterday has really flipped things around in our favour. One more win should all but close it out.

And why shouldn’t they? Lampard pulled a couple of results together as well last season to keep us up and we kept him on and look how that went, a run of 1 win in what? 11/12 games.

Dyche has just been on a run of 1 win in 11 games which is a run as poor as Benitez and Lampard.

Because chopping and changing mangers repeatedly has worked out so well...

Moshiri wanted to sack Lampard at the end of last season but was talked out of it by the board.

We need to assume we need another win. We are only 2 points clear so one unexpected result could get us back into trouble. One more win for us means our rivals need 2 wins from 3, and it also brings Forest back into the mix.

The issue with Leicester is that their defending has been abysmal for a number of weeks, including against us. We just didn't quite do enough to punish them. But they can score goals, and that gives them a chance of pulling off an unexpected win. One positive for us is both their next two opponents are still pushing for top 4 and have a lot to play for. I have no problem with admitting that I hope the reds absolutely demolish them on Monday.
