Leicester - narrative/expectation all season has been they're too good to go down, and will put together some results. I shared their fan forum before they played us and they all seemed very confident they'd stay up.

Now is the first time I think it's switched - the expectation is they could down given their next 2 fixtures. That expectation can sometimes relieve some pressure. They're not expected to get a result from their next two. That can be dangerous...
I wouldn’t be surprised at this, but then I look at those next two fixtures and Liverpool and Newcastle are probably the two least favorable fixtures in the league right now. I just think they both have too much for that Leicester defence.

I’d be more worried about leeds getting something on the midday kick off (which always produces strange results) against Newcastle.

Think the fact we go first on the penultimate weekend is a good thing, means we’re only focusing on us. No extra pressure if rivals win and no complacency if they lose.

I don't think Leeds will get another win. With the RS creeping up on those CL places I can see Newcastle and even Spurs just winning and winning by quite a serious margin. You never know what West Ham will do but it's at the London Stadium so you'd fancy West Ham to get something.
Leicester worry me. I think they have the toughest run and you'd expect Liverpool and Newcastle to beat them comfortably too but but as long as they have players like Maddison they have a punchers chance. That said, the players look spent and their better players like Maddison will already be thinking about where they'll be playing next season. We really should have beaten them. Someone else said they're playing like a team that haven't actually accepted the situation they're in so that might go in our favour.
Forest have Chelsea away (do us a favour Frank), title chasing Arsenal at home and Palace away. They could quite easily not pick up another point this season

My heart says:
Leeds will get 1 more point.
Leicester will get 1 point.
and Forest no points.

My head disagrees and assumes Leeds and Leicester will win all their remaining games, and Southampton will go on a 3 game winning streak scoring 5 goals per game just to really rub it in.

I have no idea what we'll do. We could go get a point against City, put in a real battling performance and then tank against Wolves and Bournemouth. Or we batter wolves and be safe by the last game. Hell, we could even scrap a win against City you never know - it's unlikely but I thought getting a point at Brighton was unlikely. We could not pick up another point and still survive. What's nice now is that it's in our hands and as long as Dom stays fit, and Yerry stays fit we have a chance.

Thing with West Ham (who play both Leeds and Leicester) Is that they are back winning again and they are proving to be typical a Moyes side, streaky runs of results and at their best with the pressure off

I'm not even coming back into this thread now until Saturday lunchtime as it stresses me out.

I'm going to oil myself up, get my swimming trunks on, fill my daughters paddling pool up and bask in the glory of our 5-1 demolition job until Saturday.

I'd agree, I think Leeds are still a threat even though they've tanked.
It's impossible to predict the outcome of games but on paper, their run-in is a bit better than Forest/Leicester imo.

We have to take care of our own business.

This idea that attaining a draw against City at home is beyond the realms of possibility is absurd.

We drew with them at the Etihad just a few months.

With the Goodison crowd right behind the players anything is possible.

Having said that, after our stunning win yesterday we now don't HAVE to get a result against City. I just hope we don't lose by a cricket score. That could really damage the morale of the lads and undo all the hard work that was done at Brighton.

City is in much better form than before but as last game vs Brighton shows, you never really know. There's always surprise results.

Really hoping we can get 3 point buffer ahead of Leeds before the final day. With the goal difference swing, even a loss for us and a win for them won’t be enough for them to leapfrog us unless there’s a cricket score in either game.

Leicester just look hopeless. They were largely rotten against us and were gifted a way back into the game and were lucky to hold on by the end. And to be 5-1 down to Fulham when the stakes are this high is atrocious, a couple of defensive lapses from Fulham towards the end gave the score line far more respectability than their performance warranted. If they don’t buck their ideas up, they’ll get destroyed by a resurgent RS.

I think another win all but confirms our safety, and it’d be absolutely amazing if it came within the next two games.

It would be brilliant if we could get the relief and exuberance of survival out of our systems before the final day, so that we could have one final anti-board and ownership mobilisation before the end of the season with no distractions.

Hi guys,

Great win for you guys yesterday, fair play,

I watched it in a bar packed full of Forest fans and you can only imagine our despair as your goals went in, we were astonished but fair play, you were excellent,

I have you guys staying up on 36 and us going down on GD but with any luck it'll be Leicester and Leeds who go down
