If we stay up, I'd still think Leeds might do so as well. They have the better run in compared to Forest and Leicester imo.

It's conceivable that all 4 sides lose their fixtures this weekend but I don't think that will happen.

If Leeds lose tomorrow afternoon then it eases the pressure on us quite a bit.

At this stage maintaining our position and getting another round of games over with is a very good outcome.
The Leeds game is huge.

For whatever reason, I expect us to catch Forest.

But if Leeds lose tomorrow, well, I think they won't lead us again this season.

just noticed that liverpool need to make up at least a 7 goal difference to catch up to Newcastle GD

yes newcastle have that game in hand but always a chance that 4th spot could be decided by GD

may make liverpool extra motivated to smash leicester on Monday

Regardless of who plays who this weekend......At this moment in time, right now at 11:29am on this very Friday, I'd rather be in Evertons shoes and every Leeds, Leicester and Saints fan would agree.

We've all got tough games this weekend, all capable of a surprise win and all capable of a good hammering.

BUT the main thing is, we have the points on the board and Leeds and Leicester have to claw them back. Forest know we are right on their coat tails.

We've given ourselves a fantastic chance of staying up and 100% after the likes of Fulham and Newcastle at home, I thought we were absolutely nailed on for relegation.

Players just need to find that belief and desire they shown at Brighton, 3 more times. If they do that, we'll get enough points to stay up.

Leicester scares me more than Leeds. Because of their Goal DIfferential, they only have to equal up to the #17 team to find safety. Besides that, West Ham at home on the last day is a very winnable game for them. That result alone would be enough for them if Everton and Forest don't get to 34 points.

That said, there's a reason all these teams are at the bottom-- they'd bad.
I'd like to think Moysie will be aware of our position regarding his team selection for the game against Leicester

Dont worry about the other teams
It down to us , a couple of draws and a win and we should be OK.
A win agaist City would put Hugh pressure on the other teams as they would have to basically win all there games to be sure of staying up.
Even a draw would be decent.

West ham play a huge part in this. Within space of 7 days they play leeds and leicester. Tricky to figure out what west ham turn up. Regardless of what team they put out id fancy not many would want to risk an injury if they are in a final a week later.
Mad that even now down to 3 games left there are so many potential twists and factors still. I really dont fancy west ham on the last game at leicester.
Need something from city and wolves.
As long as it's still in our own hands after the City game we won't need to rely on West Ham.

It is not beyond ridiculous given the remaining fixtures for all concerned at the bottom that we might already have sufficient points to stay up :coffee:

Spot on.

Big game for them tonight, a decent win and they`ve got one foot in a European final, admittedly a third tier final. but still a final none the less.
Made no difference really as they'd still want to rest players. Obviously, with only one goal advantage they're more likely to than they were anyway.

As a forest fan, I can confirm we'd rather be in your shoes too given your fixtures

Although it was also the case before the Palace game last season, our victory probably affected the confidence of the teams below us.
This - no one saw us beating Brighton so convincingly and would have thought a draw was the best we could have hoped for, so when our goals were rattling in you could sense the confidence going from the other teams and their fans.

Confidence and momentum is key at this point in the season, and if we can’t take some into the city game then there really is something wrong with that squad.

Leicester looked desperate, even though they scored a few goals, that was only when fulham took there foot off. The vermin should have enough to wallop them.

City should have battered Leeds - Leeds were really lucky to keep it to 2 and to score a goal - hopefully Newcastle destroy them.

Forest played ok against saints, but I would hope Chelsea can do something against them at the bridge, even taking into account Frank Lampard.

If we can take the level of work rate and performance from Brighton into the last three games, for the full 90-odd minutes, we will give any team a game, including city.

A point on Sunday would be massive - a win and we’re more or less safe.

The good thing after the Brighton result is a defeat to city doesn’t kill us, which I was certain it would have a few weeks ago.

UTFT!

I find myself experiencing a creeping terror at the thought of Leeds playing Newcastle. I have a really bad feeling about that one and that's accentuated by the sense that we are highly unlikely to be taking anything on Sunday.

I feel we need to finish above Leeds and Forest to stay up. Neither of those sides have better players than us, collectively. I think we are obligated to finish above them if we want to survive. Leicester could still pull a rabbit out of the hat - though a defeat on Monday for them would surely mean we'd only have ourselves to blame if we cannot get enough from Wolves and Bournemouth to stay above them.

It's not beyond the pale that we can get something against City. If we want it more than their players - some of whom will be protecting themselves - then we've got a chance in a seething cauldron. But this is not a game I will be kicking the team over. It's a shot to nothing. With safety in mind.
I've seen nothing so far from Leeds (including the City game) that suggests they can get anything from Newcastle. The last two games maybe.

Leicester for me are the ones on the brink. IMO they'll get f.a. from the next two games and we'll need just another two points to stay ahead of them. And I think Forest will only get a maximum of 1 point in their last three games.

Back to Leeds: I believe they'll get a maximum 4 more points.

Overall: two more points for us and we'll get over the line. We're in good form and so with a fit team we should do that.
