Agreed.

I just said above that Leeds are rank. They are utterly appalling. I thiught the early KO might affect things and they diod. Newcastle were out of sorts. However, they still almost lost it.

West Ham away for them will be a step too far. Regardless of West Ham having less than 3 days to prepare. And Spurs will beat them too.
I certainly hope so. But even if those results don't transpire, we have the safety net of our own games to get points in. If we cannot get the 3-4 points needed over these next three games, well, I won't be here crying into my Pinto Grigio.

No such thing as a free hit in 17th place with a 1 point advantage.

Actually not a fan of the free hit concept at any time. Why should we roll over for City tomorrow, makes them earn it
No one expects us to win, it takes the pressure off.
and that lets teams play with more freedom.
Not talking about rolling over in any way

Leeds and Leicester would have to be favourites to beat a safe West Ham side with a European final to play.

Both will need another 4 points minimum to have a chance of staying up and I can see both getting it.

Realistically, that means we need 3 points from the 9 available to be safe. 1 point tomorrow and I think we would be almost there.
Yes we definitely needed West Ham to stay in the mix

The Lampard hire was bonkers when you look back now, there were a number of experienced continental managers out of work at the time we could have approached but didn't.
Let's be fair. It was bonkers then - without any looking back needed. Some of us said it at the time. We didn't need hindsight. I'm not saying getting the right man is easy. But identifying Fraudulent Frank as the wrong manager was simple for anybody paying attention.

But we the fans didn’t have much of a choice it was between Lampard and that other guy can’t even remember his name. Many picked Lampard instead of him. Basically it was the people at the top failing again.

It's all about winning down there in this situation. A draw is handy but it's not really good enough.

Neither Leeds or Forest got what they'd hoped to get. Leeds are still in the bottom three and Forest know Arsenal will be too much of a handful next week and they'll be hoping Palace dont want to do it for Roy on the final day.

We just need Liverpool to turn up on Monday night and get a win there...if they do that then Leicester look dead given they'll have to then go to St James Park with Newcastle desperate for the win.

Yeah. Acceptable scores today.

We're ok so far before we get our three bites of the cherry.
Good shout prophet orange.

Yes. But it wasn't about whether we had a choice or not. It was, on this message board, fans demonstrating their knowledge or lack of same. And, quite honestly, given the way that the fans swayed this incompetent board from Pereira to Lampard, it was not beyond the same fanbase to sway Moshiri away from Fan-Friendly Frank. But too many wanted to "give him time" only because we hadn't given previous manager enough time to relegate us previously.

Lampard had plenty of backers. Their backing was the difference between a sacking in November and the five blown matches against the likes of Wolves, Southampton, and West Ham that, to this day, threaten our survival.
