Its normal and natural to be a bit worried about Games/Teams - It's the Everton Fan in us. but some and we know who take it to the extreme by constantly coming up with ways/results that still have us been relegated when half the stuff that some come up with probably wont happen. I still stand and stick to what ive personally said like the odd few that we will just about be safe, i may in the end be wrong and so be it but i have stayed consistent saying what i did even when it looked bad, while certain people change their mind more than they change their undies lol - Just keep believing and hoping that we can do it

3 weeks ago I had us and Leeds to go down with Southampton.

Luckily two major things have happened since then.

Leicester got worse and we pulled off a freak away win which has probably saved us.

I don’t see Leeds doing any better than us over the next two games and Forest are still deep in this too with their remaining fixtures.
Not sure about probably saving us but it's given us a fighting chance. I didn't have us relegated a few weeks back but we were certainly staring into the abyss.

The final that’s 3 weeks away? No.

You are a very peculiar poster that I will monitor carefully.

So you don't think west ham will rest players?

They rested players v Brentford, about 8 players.

Doesn't matter when the final is, West ham are safe all bar mathematically so their only focus is europe now.

This.
As soon as we are safe, it needs to focus on the Board and their removal.
And then the shift in the way we are run needs to be brought under the microscope before end of June, so we can then re-focus on changing it on pitch for the last season at Goodison and going forward.

We all want what’s best for the club. 94,98, last year were huge let offs and we didn’t fall into the trap with the first two, two seasons running.

Being the 4th worst team in the league isn’t cause for achievement, it’s cause for rightly continued pressure.

Leeds will definitely get more points. To suggest otherwise is silly.

West ham will rest players for their euro final, so that's at least a draw for Leeds. More than likely a win.

Spurs last game, who will have nothing to play for and are poor, in front of a loud packed elland road, I'd fancy Leeds.

I think Leeds will end up on 35 or 37 points.

I don't see us finishing above them. Looking at it objectively.

It’s not even not obvious now, is it?
Have you been found out and are just going Kamikaze mode now?

Looking at it objectively, I’d say you’ve been rumbled. Bore off will you

West Ham has to beat Alkmaar on aggregate to avoid PKs (no away goals rule), so he probably sets up to deliver a knockout punch and take the fans out early. That best explains why he rotated attacking players so heavily in the last fixture.

He just needs a point at home against Leeds to be 100% safe, so he probably sets up to play some negative footy in that one. He won't play a 'reduced' lineup so much as he'll make some tactical swaps and avoid taking big risks.

With Leicester losing yesterday I am almost relaxed.

We are virtually safe.

Dyche has been brilliant for us. A great appointment but I suppose we have to consider if that's the type of manager we want long term.
I think he deserves a full season with a pre season behind him.
The truth is we don’t have many options and we won’t spend much money, so I think he gets more time by default anyway.

Do you think Moyes will also think about it being us he can help

Not really. He will care about his legacy, which means the priorities are lifting silverware while not joining Roberto in the 'trophy + relegation' club. If he can mail in the final match week to keep everyone healthy for a cup final, he's 100% doing it. This is why taking a point from the Leeds fixture is important to him.

This is you (below) being objective and silly (as you put it) 2 weeks ago. Since then, Saints are down, Leicester are practically down, Forest won 1 and drew 1 and Leeds lost one and drew one and still haven't won for 7 games. The only thing that has changed since your post is they appointed Allardyce so lets be honest, your objectivity as you call it can only be based on that.

They were atrocious against City, a bit better but quite fortunate against Newcastle. There is zero evidence to suggest they can even win another game, never mind draw one if you look at it objectively and without thinking the fire fighter will turn them into Real Madrid (which he already hasn't)

I think we will be gone along with Leeds and forest.

I think leicester will stay up, I think saints will win their next 2 v forest and Fulham and then just about stay up.

Don't be surprised if Leicester win those final two games v Newcastle and West ham to get to 36 points, everyone has them gone but nobody gave us a prayer away at Brighton.
Newcastle are not invincible (as Villa showed in a 3-0 win) and the pressure is on them with RS breathing down their necks,I still expect some odd results yet.

Have no fear, our very well paid DoF will sort Dyche out some decent additions/replacements...probably
I hope...maybe.

I'm concerned at how much people are looking at this Wolves game as one they're certain we'll get at least a point in.

Since start of the year Wolves have lost at home to Leeds and Bournemouth, which obviously isn't great. However, the other 7 home games they played in that period against Villa, Palace, Brentford, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and West Ham, they won all of. They also didn't concede a goal in any of those games.

Compare that to the fixture Leeds have at West Ham who will have just come back from a European semi final and it has me very nervous
Wolves are the lowest scorers in the league and have a defensive record that isn't much better than ours. Now I can't say I watch a load of Wolves to know but we've played probably 80%+ of the season without a striker and at least half the season with Lampard who couldn't organise a back line.

I say we're both of much the same quality but they have absolutely nothing to play for and some of their better players like Neves who'll be looking at moves in the summer won't want to putting themselves on the line for a nothing game.

Also quite frankly for the sake of argument with Leeds against West Ham too, Wolves aren't gonna sack their manager no matter what, Moyes needs to pick up as many points and finish as high up as possible with West Ham, they could quite easily still finish 17th, if they don't win that European trophy then Moyes will be sacked, he's not gonna gamble on just that when he can still finish comfortably on 12th or 13th. We all know Moyes he'll be able to easily sway things in his favour, 13th and a cup final even will be a success, 17th and a final win will be a success but 17th and a cup final is not even enough to keep him in the job.
