Wow this thread is full of more hypothetical scenarios than a Stephen hawking book except his notions obviously had more gravity and substance to them
Well it does feel like we are about to pass the point of no return before being crushed for all eternity

We're all feeling the grip of tension, but honestly it's a lot easier when you accept that we have to merit survival.

I dearly hope we can win at Wolves - and if not, we can get enough points from Wolves and Bournemouth to stay up. But we have to be good enough to do that.

I'll be very disappointed if we cannot get what we need - but we'll have found our level. The wailing and gnashing of teeth gets us nowhere and serves no purpose.

I'm not confident, but I'm very hopeful the manager will be able to get enough out of - let's not forget - dreadfully poor players. And if he can't, so be it. While we'd all take staying up at all costs, could you imagine staying up despite losing our last two? I'd be tremendously relieved but deeply ashamed of these players, this team, and this club.

Nope. I want to see us earn it - as we did at Brighton. And if we can't, so be it.

I can't see Leicester staying up.

My RS-supporting cousin was at the King Power Stadium on Monday night and he said the atmosphere there was dire. The fans there weren't particularly vociferous in their support of their team and some of the Leicester fans were even openly booing and/or abusing their own players. That sort of thing is obviously not conducive to good results.

Having said that, we now play two sides against which we have attained zero points this season. We have already lost to Wolves at home this season and we have already lost to Bournemouth this season - by 3-0 in the PL and 4-1 in the League Cup!

Curious how there’s no narrative for Arsenal, United, Newcastle, RS, Spurs, Brighton and Villa pushing for City’s hearing for their 200 charges be extradited but we’re getting gunned for over ONE charge

It's typical journalism by the likes of Ziegler and Hughes. They released a story around the same time last year and got buzzed off. Instead of dropping the blag stories, they just dig a deeper hole for themselves as they want to be proved right.

So in about 2 years time, when they're on their 46th article about us and we get a 10k fine for not putting our pen top back on properly, they can both say "I told you there was going to be a fine/points deduction/stadium delay".

Absolute bellends

I thought that regards the atmosphere, but then the comms were raving about how the fans were doing their part

…Brighton beat us 4-1 at Goodison so these results can be turned around. We live in hope.

Threatening to sue a bit of a joke. Its not like we even spent anything. We sold 2 of our main players for a total in excess of £100m and spent none of the money for Gordon in Jan.
It's laughable.

It would make a total mockery of the game if this campaign by that DM journo actually gained any traction.

Of course Leeds are a danger. I was just putting a statistic that looked better for Everton than the one you put up for them.

But cant really compare under different managers. Esp under the one they were leaking 4/5 goals every game.
I should ignore it really but ive been reading on here the last few months that this team have gone. That team wont pick up another point. I should have put £500 on Bournemouth being certs as i read it on here.
Yet here we are with two games left and still 1 point out the relegation zone.
I still consider leeds a threat to Evertons survival. I cant quite work out why many dont.

I will be at Molineux on Saturday urging on the boys in blue.

It's just dawned on me that it could be the last ever top-flight away match in our club's illustrious history. If we lose against Wolves as we did at home earlier this season it almost certainly will be our last ever one.

We are in a truly perilous situation. The frightening thing is is that the players have, by and large, given their all for the fans. They have been terribly managed by Frank, a lovely chap but not someone who's cut out for a job like this one. Then there was the Doucoure suspension - that really killed our momentum.

We are where we are and we must avoid defeat.

I can’t either mate.

Everything rational says they’re gone, however if they somehow get a win at Newcastle who let’s face it as good as they are, are not invincible . You’d strongly fancy them to follow that up at home to West Ham taking them to 36.

I’m not saying that will happen, far from up, but until it’s mathematically impossible I can’t relax
lol
