It’s a desperate return. One more win in our previous ten and we’d be just about safe. I think Dyche has done okay, some of his selections were baffling, but in the main it’s all on the board for not getting in decent attacking options with DCL struggling with injuries.
It's almost like they wanted us to get relegated - they had a near miss and then sold Richy without replacing him .. then Gordon - why did they think we would have a better season ?

I think they must really struggle to recruit players and just go for whoever is easily available. McNeil had been relegated and Maupay wanted a pay jump (I guess Brighton weren't interested) Tarkowski on a free, Gana out of favour. Garner because we always seem to get Utd players who can't get in their team.

Admittedly, Onana was an interesting one but costly.

I think Newcastle beat Leicester tomorrow. And we need them to. leicester will beat West Ham last game so if they draw @ Newcastle, we need to win.can’t see Leeds beating `spurs by 3 so would love a draw to keep us safe. It’s on Newcastle. Don’t see us beating Bournmouth with no full backs / DCL

True, and I’m sure they won’t but it’s nice to be in that position when the games kick off. Hopefully Richarlison will help us out and Kane can’t fail to score on his last Spurs appearance so that will leave a Leeds without Bamford and Rodrigo needing to score 4 😁 piece of p1ss

i agree with the position but ……. we still have to win that game no draw mate

Yeah Onana an interesting one but not sure he was what we needed for this season. He will probably become an absolute beast but I reckon he’s on his bike come the summer. We definitely do struggle to recruit players although I think that’s unavoidable now we are a bottom half team in reality.

I agree with most on here by saying our squad is dire but similar to last season I do believe they have showed fight. Look at some of our late goals that have won us point, Simms v Chelsea, Keane v Spurs, Mina v Wolves.

We all know the faults of the squad and there have definitely been games where their heads have gone but for the most part they’ve kept chipping away at it. We need one more big performance from them.

In recent years weve had
Koeman
Silva
Allardyce
Ancelotti
Benitez
Lampard
Dyche

Honestly all different manager styles with different players and yet when i watch us play its exactly the same regardless whos been in charge.
Dull slow dithering football that reverts to hoofball after 10 passes around the back 4.

For me its the culture at the club that's the biggest issue and its driven from the top.

Can’t disagree mate, it’s exactly how I see it too, to be honest.

I see Garner as a coup and potentially really good signing

I could easily see us, Leicester and Leeds all losing our remaining fixtures and us staying up with 33 points.

Possible. Would be an horrendous Sunday next week to suffer through.
All those draws when people said they were no good. That's what will keep us up.

....and recent away form too. One away defeat in the last 6 is it? That Brighton result is looking like it might make all the difference,

Yeah I don’t doubt they are trying. Some of them aren’t good enough and that’s not their fault. And the fact is the board has sold some of our most effective attacking players and brought in worse replacements or none at all.

Everything went against us yesterday injuries even bounce of the ball we never got anything but we never give up we were bad on the ball but attitude was there bloody ell was there it was amazing when we equalized shivers up the back our away supporters are amazing.. goodison will get us home

Had I known what I know now, I’d have been buzzing.

Soon as I was out the stadium I was livid again, felt like a huge opportunity, and we never took it.

But that goal has provided the platform to potentially draw and stay up (based on Leicester losing tomorrow)…

I feel like we keep getting breaks… hopefully we get away with it again next week

You don’t think they’d beat a West Ham side, safe, who have a European Final to look forward too?

There is 0 chance Moyes plays any of his big guns with the fear of them getting injured.
I think he'll play an even stronger team against Leicester. There'll be 12 days to rest up after that game until their final, so he'll want to give a run out to his preferred starting line up for it.

I’ll be honest mate, since you’ve joined the forum you’ve been a barrel of laughs and misery. Do you have anything positive to say …asking for a friend…..
