Yeah ok fair enough. A slaughtering would be good for us just for the psychological effect

Yeah that’s what I was thinking.

A 5-0 defeat there would be ideal, they’d be absolutely rock bottom. Even more ideal would be us not having to worry about goal difference with Leicester full stop.

Just hope Newcastle can turn up today, and do the job, early goal and it’ll work in our favour for Sunday.

We wont beat B'mouth - that's what the evidence suggests. Just looking at it rationally: we've been terrible at home for ages; we have no forward, and our defence needs patching up; B'mouth are still competing - whatever their last few results - and they can score goals.

If Leicester get beat tonight though I think we can hang onto their coat tails and match them for a hard fought draw and just survive.
We'll take it of course - at all costs - but what a risible effort that will have been from our lily-livered, entitled, overpaid heroes.

We said we had two shots at getting one win. And if end without any, we will have stayed up purely by falling over the line. Almost heroic.

I maintain there could well be a sting in the tail tonight. If there is, watch our champions fold like a deckchair come Sunday's moment of truth.

And if we are fortunate enough to experience the blissful release and relief of survival next Sunday evening, please simply walk out of the stadium after the final, gutteral bellow of joy. No clapping. No applause. No pitch invasion. No need to boo. Simple silence and an empty stadium five minutes after the final whistle.

Anything else makes people complicit in next year's inevitable sequel.

I have not seen an ounce of fight or general quality from Leicester in the past several games.

Like many having watched all ours and our rival games, we are all horrendous tbf.

But at what point do people think that 2nd bottom of the table (and rightly so) will turn up at 3rd in the league and get the 3 points thy very much need. When they are struggling to score and concede lots (even 2 against us...)

Stop looking for the doom and gloom and reveling in it, and let's be positive for once.

I'm hoping for one of those scores where the teleprompter needs to put it in words because its so unbelievable, such as: Newcastle 11 (eleven) Leicester 0.

not too much to ask really

The goal difference off the Brighton game and the last minute point this weekend were huge but we still need to get something this weekend and make no mistake - we are crap without Dom and any full backs so it won’t be easy!

I’ll rest a bit easier once Newcastle get the win tonight and we know a draw will all but see us safe.

Personally I’ve enjoyed Leeds being back in the prem, proper club with history and real fans and you played some entertaining football too. Sorry to see you go on that note if you do, but also not sorry for a second as it keeps us up!
Honestly don't think you'll need anything. We won't get another win, I'm certain of that. Leicester won't get anything tonight leaving you just needing at most a draw final game which I'm sure you'll get.
Enjoyed our fists season back up but been scandalous how badly things were f'cked up after Bielsa left. All very depressing but hopefully won't be a long absence this time.

Anything can happen i guess but Newcastle are trying to secure 3rd spot, have only been beaten twice this season at home and have scored a lot of goals recently. They will be really up for this one and Leicester's defence is awful. Hopefully they will have a field day. COYN
