Half way through the season, still time for somebody and things to turn it around.

Us, Southampton, West Ham, Leicester, Bournemouth, Leeds deep in the do do

Half the season gone, and we look busted. There just isn't even a glimmer of something to hold on to. We have no identity, no spirit, no one in this group look like they have the cajones to pull themselves out of this mess.

We have half a season to drag ourselves out of it, I still believe a good manager can get us safe.

What I don’t believe is that the club will appoint one.

what is this Everton mentality of just not digging in and trying hard when things go against us. 1 goal is all it took for the entire team to just give up. So frustrating

There’s not one team in the league worse than us

We have league one standard attackers, a 50 year old right back, a left back that can’t defend or attack, 2 slow centre backs that run through treacle and an attacking midfielder who can’t score

This is much worse a situation than 12 months ago though. This time last year Watford and Norwich were already relegated so just needed one place to avoid.

A month ago people were saying Forest were already down. They're on 20 points at halfway point and regularly winning at home.

It's a boring cliche but who are the three poorer teams in this league? Wolves have new manager bounce and will comfortably finish mid table.

Lampard has to be sacked now just to get a fresh voice, that's the only certainty but it's a big ask to get new manager bounce with the fixtures coming up.

The team just can't score. Whatever Calvert-Lewin was a few years ago he isn't that now. They apparently have no money to spend on replacements. They are done barring a managerial change that somehow can make chicken salad out of chicken s**t.

I think what might prove costly is not sacking him after the Bournemouth week.
