A contract that'd have to be paid up. Probably not much of a contract either compared with others at the club in the recent past.

Forget Dyche. He's the feller they brought in because they had to do something to make it look like they are in control.

Dyche looks like a willing stooge to me at this stage.

This is going to go off. Bank on it.
I don't think they brought Dyche in for its own sake.

He has been told to hunker down till May and get us back up.

They've accepted the drop. With no players coming in, he probably does as well.

I've steered clear of this thread for now
but just for anyone who's thinking relegation wont be too bad and could even be a blessing in disguise...

If we get relegated, Moshiri definitely wont sell. He might get investment but he'll retain a controlling stake.
The financial hit of selling in the championship and the incentive of selling in the PL in the coming seasons will keep him at GP.
As long as he's owner, Kenwright and co. will remain at the helm.
This will create an enormous divide among the fan base and will prevent any clean sweep or fresh start.

When you see newspaper clippings of survival in the chairmans office and huge prints of survival celebrations in the training ground,
you know the leadership is not cut out for anything more.

If we do go down, I hope its quick so there's weeks left for the fans to raise blue hell while the global spotlight is still on the club.

Turning out to be one of the worst days in Everton history this.

Our fate is sealed. We are doomed. The owner and board need to be chased out of the club pronto.
We actually have a chance of staying up now. That wasn't the case a few weeks ago with us throwing away game after game because of the boards refusal to act under Lampard.

I'm genuinely interested in what happens next. The Board have accepted relegation as the most likely scenario and have 'planned' accordingly in selling Gordon and not buying any more players. Their already untenable position will become ludicrously and openly toxic once relegation is confirmed. Everton in the Champo will be different at least, and then the start of the long, grim road to recovery or a terminal death spiral.

Amazon and Netflix have both missed out this season. Act 3 would've been box office.

Kenwright aligning with reality for the first time once our relegation is confirmed:

We are club who have gone from Carlo Ancelotti and James Rodriguez to Sean Dyche and Dwight McNeil. Any half decent player would be well minded to stay clear of signing for the car crash of a club, that we have become.
