It's crazy to me.

That's why Ive maintained up until this moment that we will see a few in. I still hope we do.

But if they dont materialise all bets are off with this owner and board. They deserve EVERYTHNG they get and I'd offer no opposition to it.
I can't even think of a defence for it, what on earth would you be saving that 45m for?

Not clear who the three going down this year are but I'd suggest they're not any "better" nor are they nailed on for immediate promotion next season.
Of course if the board decides to continue with the destruction of the football club and continue with the strategy to sell our assets for millions and yet not replacing them at all then yes...it will be difficult for us to go back up.

Two things:

1/ whatever manager is in place if / when Everton are relegated they WONT survive at this club. The fans wont have it. Their head would be on a platter.
2/ this team would be destroyed in the Championship. They are not a Championship team at all, so there's no forward plannig in that respect.

That's why it makes no sense whatsoever not using the cash generated fropm Gordon's sale to try and hand the new manager enough quality up front to save us from the drop.

I cant see any sort of clarity about the sale of players and appointment of a new manager.
Like I said, Dyche has been brought in to change things up and in the case of relegation, rebuild and get us back up.

He is 100% the correct choice for that job. If the DOF and board have failed him in getting new faces in to help him, he is not accountable for that.

He needed at least 2-3 new faces to freshen this up. Sadly he’s going to be going to war with the same players, only just a bit more organised than what Lampard had them doing.

I do think one new good-ish striker would be enough to keep us up, if more organised

Nah you said the three that go down were nailed on to go straight back up because the championship is poor. There's just never any guarantee of that and the list of clubs that have gone down and never made it back up again is a LONG one.

We are guarantee to go back up...but if you sell onana, pickford, dcl, gray, tarkowsky, etc...for 100 millions plus and decide we have enough in the squad to go back up then no of course it will not happen.

Can I borrow your crystal ball?

If you think we're keeping Pickford, DCL and Gray et al in the Championship you're off your head. The club might not even want to sell them, but they wouldn't want to stay. They'd be off to the first PL club that offered. Very likely they've all got relegation clauses/outs.

He wont be here next season if we get relegated.

That's pretty much guaranteed.
