I fully expect 2 or more signings before the end of the day, the club will do enough to drag itself over the line this season. A huge summer of positive change is needed to avoid another relegation battle next season.

But that's the plan
Definitely. The board has actively built a Championship squad and that can't be argued with. Once Pickford is sold in the summer we'll look every bit a Cardiff or a Blackburn at best. They've saved tens of millions in wages and have made a further approx. £15m net from transfers the past two windows. That's not a club trying to stay in the division.

You can take Wolves out of this equation now. Top manager brought in and some decent, quality players.

Leeds are bringing young, energetic players in still.

Even Southampton annd Bournemouth are trying to properly strengthen.

It’s hard to see anything but this club going one way this season. The only saving grace is we will have the right man in place for the championship.

Thank goodness we have a forward thinking Board with a plan

The championship is so bad this year and still next year...even a blind person would get us back in the premier league in no time. There is never been such a big gap between the best championships sides and the worst premier league sides like today. The 3 that will do down will go back up straight away...my concern would be the following season once back in the premier league.

Over the line to the championship and a great reset coming later.

Two things:

1/ whatever manager is in place if / when Everton are relegated they WONT survive at this club. The fans wont have it. Their head would be on a platter.
2/ this team would be destroyed in the Championship. They are not a Championship team at all, so there's no forward plannig in that respect.

That's why it makes no sense whatsoever not using the cash generated fropm Gordon's sale to try and hand the new manager enough quality up front to save us from the drop.

I cant see any sort of clarity about the sale of players and appointment of a new manager.

Not using the money would basically mean risking losing far more in the long term by not being a premier league team.

There is literally no guarantee of coming up straight away.

It's crazy to me.

That's why Ive maintained up until this moment that we will see a few in. I still hope we do.

But if they dont materialise all bets are off with this owner and board. They deserve EVERYTHNG they get and I'd offer no opposition to it.
