It’s been a long time since I read a post about how we are absolutely fine and we are ‘bed wetting’. Looks like the ‘doomers’ (AKA the realists) were correct. Our club is in absolute shambles and will be very far adrift at the bottom soon.

What is scary is that we are not better than 17/18 other teams in the league. Only hope is that we recruit miraculously and that Leicester, Forest, Villa and Southampton get riddled with injuries. No dressing this up now. It is what it is.

Any 3 of these teams can go down.

Nottingham forest
Bournemouth
Leeds
Brentford
Everton
Aston villa
Southampton

Villa have a better team than the rest so even if they go on a bad run and sack Gerrard, it would be expected they would have enough.

Southampton have a good manager who seems to get them results when they don't expect to. They are capable of going on runs periodically that you would expect will get them out of trouble.

So really it's out of the other 5. Unless if we strengthen significantly then we are in big danger.

Brentford even though they lost Eriksen still look capable and when we play them away soon It's still hard to see us getting anything there.

Leeds I'm not sure about, they have made some signings but I'm not sure how good these signings are. And also they have lost Phillips and rafinha and Bamford is injured again. I think they are a team we could look to come ahead of but only if we strengthen.

Bournemouth and forest are majoritivly championship quality teams. They will go into games with a better spirit than we do as they are on upward trajectories and we are on a downward one currently.

We need to somehow find a couple of quality signings and I think we will be OK. Failure to do that and we are likely down.

I would add Wolves to that list
