Leeds is as everyone already knows is a critical indicator of how we will do. We may do well against the sides that attack us and leave some space for us to work with, but the ones that sit deep and basically leave it to us to breakdown might beat us by the odd goal. They get one chance they usually score, we need 5 sitters a game to score 1.

Problem is the teams that will do that are all in effect 6 pointers.
And the problem is Everton are a shrinking violet. Hopeless in pressure situations.

Got to hope this manager can change that.

With the DCL situation we need someone to step massively to keep us from dropping out of the league. 4 or 5 goals from a midfielder like Onana.

Unfortunately I don't think our midfield has got 4 or 5 goals between them all season.

need it from all over the pitch defenders and out wide. Make sure take advantage of set pieces, agree with the cm they need to get closer to the forwards

Anyone else heard Harry Redknapp to Leeds, so mad, it must be a little true.
Yes, I did hear something this morning from someone I know, been out the game for a while, don't see it myself unless he went in with someone like Frank alongside him as a sort of mentoring role. Hardly the ideal setting for it though.

I think Leeds do have a go the fear I have is they will pick us off with speed in the break. It's why I would bring Godfrey and Mina back in personally .You are right though there's a reason we do better against teams that come on to us than against teams that just sit in and take a few chances counter attacking. We lack creativity and forward power. I'm worried

We are currently in the relegation zone with only maupay and simms our only fit strikers to choose from who have a combined career total of 1 goal for Everton in the league. If we don’t get relegated then Dyche may well be the greatest manager in the world.
He will have a permanent seat in Everton folklore...

Considering we got 4 points from our last like 10 games and them 4 points was against Manchester City and Arsenal. I cant subscribe to 'we need points here cause we won't get them there'. Granted we really really could do with getting 6 points from them. But yanoe what I mean.
Excellent point.

This idea that if we lose on Saturday we are down is absurd.

Of course relegation will become highly probable if we lose on Saturday because Leeds will then be four points clear of us and we obviously won't have the crowd behind us during the away games at Arsenal, Forest and Chelsea.

However, we were in a worse position with just a few games to go last season.

And we've shown that with the crowd right behind us at Goodison we can beat anyone, even the team that's top of the league.

It's all good though lads because Dychy said everybody was making lots of phone calls on transfer deadline day, so at least we have a session highlight to look forward to when we get relegated. xG of 6.5 calls per hour.
