It’s not a particularly competitive league. There are four groups within the league. We are in the Mid table - not threatening Europe and not worried about relegation (ignoring points reductions)

I think some of that is a knock on affect of the PSR. Last summer and when you look at the January window, no one really went mad with signings. Sheffield Utd sold some of their best players. In previous seasons we have seen teams that have come up spend big, to try and stay up, like Forrest did and teams in the bottom 6 in January spend a fair bit as well.

I think it will be the same next season. The Premier league need to fix it or the league will become the same as all the other European leagues.

This is by I can’t see mad money being spent again. So any hope of getting crazy high fees for Onana and Branthwaite are probably a bit fanciful. That and coupled with the fact that Thelwell has openly declared we are set for a fire sale.

I'd wait until next Sunday evening and then fire up the 2024/25 one after we've been tonked by Arsenal.

I mean we went over 100 days without a league win during which we lost at home to Luton Town and scored about 3 goals, so it wasn’t a wild shout.

I would hope we’d be aiming for another incremental increase in points haul next season, say between 50 and 55 points which would possibly allow us into the top half but will very much depend on the summer of course
