I am reasonably confident we stay up this season baring the elephant in the room a points deduction.
If there is a points deduction I think it would be better if it's this season rather than next as next year the opposition will be stronger either way a deduction of 6-12 points will most likely relegate us anyway.
Yeah I agree re the points deduction but I would also add DCLs fitness to the mix, if we get hit by both, it is going to be incredibly difficult to survive. Not impossible but difficult.

I don't want to jinx it, but worst case scenario and say we get a 12 point deduction..... This is the year to get it because the league looks very very poor at the bottom.

I'd fancy us to be galvanized and play with a real dogs of war attitude

feeling a lot more confident after last two games. i expected 0 points and we got 4.

main concern other than the points deduction is squad depth and dcl but he is looking robust atm

other concern is player fatigue, especially with majority of teams making 5 subs from around hour mark and us making 0-2 a game

this will markedly change the fitness levels on the pitch, and the game will become more like rugby union in which you have a starting side and then ‘finishers’ who come on and play an important part in the game. not just the odd change to either chase a win or shore things up.

dyche clearly favours to try and keep that eleven on, and has his reasons for that. but it is going to be outdated soon and of course he knows a lot more than me, but i fear what repurcussions it will have over the season

whos to know how that might have panned out yesterday. and young and harrison are clearly more disciplined than harrison and say a danjuma or dobbin (though he couldve gone godfrey at rb and patterson rm if he wanted to keep it tight and have solid defensive players on the pitch). but he left two knackered players on the pitch and he lost 2 points at home because of it

Like Leeds under Bielsa we may struggle in the second half of the season as weary bodies start to break down.

Be interesting to know how much energy we are expending with only 20% possession. Will be mentally draining staying focused, but lots of sideways shuffling. Could be exhausting chasing the ball around, but we barely do that once they get past Dom, Doucs and Garner; just sit in. Full backs stay narrow and the plan seemed to be to watch them pass it round and hope they got bored.

It certainly bored me to death watching Brighton; I'd soon get sick of watching them every week.

Forest fans have been fantastic again.

If they get car of relegation it'll be that home form and those fans are the bases for that.

Still likely to be 6 points clear of the dreaded zone by the end of this round of fixtures. Would be absolutely amazing to steal a win at palace (we are capable) and be 9 points clear by the international break.

They've lost two home games in the prem in 14 months. When you go that long as a bottom half team losing so few games it's really not a fluke.

They are actually starting to pick up away points aswell. Had a really hard start but took 4 points from Chelsea and Palace without conceding so they've got a far more solid base now than this time last year.

I think they'll be in the 45-50 point bracket personally.

Im not really too bothered with whats happening to the likes of Forest, I think the bottom 4 are so bad that they arent in the discussion. Honestly I think its a 4 horse race of the newly promoted + Bournemouth. I dont think Wolves, Palace, or Fulham are any good, but they probably are the three that end up in spots 14th-16th. Forest dont have to be good to finish 11th-13th this season, and the same goes for us.

I think from the looks of it we will really have to have our house in order by next season. Some very strong teams will be coming up and we don’t want to be in the mix with them.
