Would it be more appropriate to be reminiscing the Moyes days of a decade or more ago?

Carlo is the best manager we have had in my adult life, and had us playing good football despite consisting of a poor collection of footballers.

??????

Yes it would be more appropriate to reminisce about finishing in the top 6 regularly and playing in Europe, and progressing to the later stages of cup competitions.

Keep telling myself that both Bournemouth and Southampton shipped nine goals and still stayed up,but it's not working.

No he never, one bit.

I love Carlo, have done since his Parma days, but he never had us playing good football.

He had us setup in a unit; how that would have panned out in a normal season we’ll never know.

I started this same thread the day after we best Bournemouth to stay up in May. I got booed off and the thread got closed.

I still stand by it. If we stay up this season it will be a miracle.

We finished 10th and 12th. PPG is skewed because he was only with us 18 months. Are you honestly trying to argue he was a better Everton manager than Moyes?
I believe that Ancelotti is a better manager than Moyes. I do not think many would argue this.

I also believe Ancelotti was a better manager for Everton than Moyes was for Everton. I think this could be argued in either direction, and wouldn't begrudge anyone for believing otherwise.

The Premier League of 2019 - 21 is a much different league than that of 2002 - 12.

Perhaps it is cringe of me to be pining after a manager who left us, but I do wish he would have stayed and it had been Bill & Farhad who had left instead.

This is utterly bizarre. How? By what metric?
