Our ‘on paper’ easier run of fixtures comes in April/early May. Problem is, we seem to struggle more against teams where we need to take the initiative. This is where Dyche needs to adapt his tactics. West Ham, Burnley, Forest, Sheff Utd and Brentford will all probably adopt similar tactics to Palace- and we desperately struggle when we need to break down teams who sit deep.

Saw someone a few pages back saying Forest and Brentford would come and relentlessly attack and it would be an end to end basketball game. They won't.

Forest are managed by Nuno now so will be same template as at Wolves, low block and quick counters (although they were abysmal defending first half at Villa today). Brentford are another team that condense the space and then get their wing backs up to get crosses in for Toney.

Burnley and Sheffield United are games that simply have to be won, no questions asked. Think West Ham are in the same category now.

don’t think we ever have tho
We've made several changes in staff, altered the scouting network and clearly tried to approach the running of the club in a more joined up systemic manner. This is being done while the boardroom is a mess and we are under investigation alongside failed and ongoing takeovers and can't spend money upfront while building a new stadium. I know most want to believe the director of football should be wearing 80's footy shorts and umbro boots while watching sunday league games, but the role is probably quite different to that. It will take time to see if its effective, but it is clearly being attempted for anyone to see beyond their own rants.

9 games without a win, and yet we’re 17th in the form table for the last 10 games.

We average a point a game for the rest of the season we’re safe.
I'm not sure 33 points keeps us up this season, unless you're assuming that we get some points back? In any case, over the past 9 games, our PPG is below 1, so our form will have to pick up to even achieve your modest target.

It’d be touch and go, but 33 points probably isn’t far off being enough. Not that I’m saying that’s what we should be aiming for.

Of course, this doesn’t take into account the outcome of our appeal and/or the second charge. I’ve said it multiple times, the PL have turned the season into a farce - we have no idea where we stand.

it’s now we gotta start it’s getting later and later

i can bet we don’t go to old trafford or any of the others away and get a result

maybe new castle hope i’m wrong but i’m fearful

and now luton madrid have a game on us
The thing with us is i want us to face these so called teams we get beat by, by going toe to toe and trying to get the win. Not go to these grounds just hoping to not concede and try and grap a draw. Fulham had a go at Man Utd, Bournemouth had a go verse City. It just feels like we rarely have a proper go

The next four wouldn't look kinder without Liverpool.

Everton vs West Ham
Man Utd vs Everton
Bournemouth vs Everton
Newcastle vs Everton
If the Liverpool game is moved, there’s going to be a run of 5 home games out of 7 from 6th April, 4 of which are against teams around us, Luton away will be in that run too, that will be the key run of games I’d imagine.
