Agreed, people are simping over a manager who has won 1 game in 10 and lost to Luton Town, twice, at home.

I havent said sack him by the way.

I will reflect on that in May.

Acting like 31 points is a big target, we used to have expectation, now we just accept we are a relegation fodder team.
We had expectation when we had the 7th (or thereabouts) most expensive squad in the league. We don't anymore. We're taking out loans to stay afloat. Unfortunately, all we can do now is sit tight until the stadium is finished and the points deductions are a thing of the past. Safety is all we can do for the short term.

If we were genuinely on 21 points then I'd probably start to think about pressing the managerial panic button. But we're far from it. Dyche and the rest of the squad need us to support them. The toxicity atm is unbearable tbh.

It's about progression though. 31 points is an improvement (we don't know if it's enough yet, but hey ho). If we stay up, we need more next year off him. More after that. We should consider change when progress stops or reverses.

I'm not sure anybody thinks we're great now, quite the opposite in fact, but reality is that our aim right now should be improvement in points collected.

Look at the job he's walked into. No money. Any quality sold. 10 point deduction. The clubs ownership in turmoil. What expectations are you blabbering on about under those circumstances. I'd say having this team mid table(with no points deductions) is as fair as you can get.
What with your calvert lewin is an elite striker gibberish you are on another planet. Funny though 🤣

As I said, lets see what happens in the next 3 months, im really not seeing any progress currently.

Stale same old team, tactics, players all out of form, I just want to see my football club win a football game.

I still blame the whole ffp for this just does not feel like it will ever end and has bought in frustration, i still feel we should have expectations on this club can understand it will take time. I kno for me i have been frustrated with dyche at points this season, but agree he needs time

TBF I demanded in August to have a Palace/Fulham type season for once. No frills but nice comfortable mid table position and eventual finish on 44-45 points.

In normal circumstances Dyche would comfortably achieve that.

I've been very impressed by how quickly he's turned around the away form. People forget how bad it was under FSW/Lampard, a basic surrender as soon as going a goal down.

The disappointment though is a general poor style at Goodison which has resulted in just 3 wins out of 13 (also lost two cup ties at home this season). That isn't good enough and certainly won't cut it at the new ground.

Ultimately though the brief when he took over was to keep the club up by any means and for the second successive season he's got a decent chance of doing it in very difficult circumstances so he certainly has my respect for that. In the current level the club is operating at he's a very capable manager but he has his limit as we've seen in parts of the season where club hasn't quite kicked on from decent positions.

Agree with that. I'm not excited about Dyche, he has his limits and flaws and granted we stay up, I would rather invest 10 millions more into the squad, and not into a manager sacking, as it isn't necessary at the moment. Our budget won't be high in the summer, and the team needs creativity added in the midfield (Alli, Gomes) and pace on the wings (Harrison, Danjuma), most likely Onana or Branthwaite whose money will be used for new transfers.

I agree that we need a rethink In May but we need to get behind Dyche until then.
If we survive this season I don't think we will get away with it again next season playing as we do especially with the quality of the teams coming up.
Leicester are a good side and will hold there own in the Prem, Leeds are a better all round side than the last time they came up and the third team for me is Ipswich but I am not sure wether they would stay up.
If we are under new owners hopefully they are more savy than people give them credit for we need to twist get a younger manager in with fresh ideas and a more positive attitude.
What ever happens the days of us spending 20 million plus on players is long gone certainly in the short term, there are good players out there that are hungry and would not command a big fee we just have to get off our arses and find them.
I do not want the 777 group to take over but if it doesn't happen the consequences could be far worse in terms of administration and where that leaves with relegation and the new ground.
These next few weeks are crucial for the club

Which "better manager" do you want that would join us mate? I'm honestly curious.

Btw, how long would this guy get before you started to blame him for the crap players still being crap?
There not crap players mate, most have or still our international footballer some are worth a lot of money. We have a manager who’s scared to win a game, who coaching obviously just consists of set piece and defensive drills. Let gets one who wants to win an and coach the team to actually play football.

Blah blah blah the old who don’t want, who would do a better job. Kenwright loves you,
You’re the type of fans that kept him at the club 30yrs. The reds would have chased him out of town afrer 5yrs, yet we aplaud the guy on the big screen for failure. You’ve now have the club you deserve.

Imagine 5yrs ago getting told we’re moving into our amzing new stadium with Sean dyche as manager.

You can guarentee if he'd done the opposite the comments would have been why didnt you make changes to close the game down. Im not defending dyche as he is very limited and he frustrates me at times with his substitutions(lack of) but its not as simple as 10 men automatically you win the game. We went down to 10 against newcastle the year before at 0-0 and won the game with iwobis goal.
Im more frustrated another Everton striker had the chance to finish that game and missed. We're not a team that can keep the ball even against 10 coz we've got crap players. Fact their goal was the first we've conceded from a corner(ish) says what we are. Structured and organised. Beto's defending of gross cross was comical.
Again it’s utter nonsense that these players can’t keep the ball v 10 Men. They are coached to put it forward and get behind the ball and into shape.

We won that because Lampard (poor manager) kept attackers on the pitch. Dyche would have never won that game.

They are crap players mate. They're an embarrassment. I don't know why its so hard for people like you to accept at this point. They keep failing under manager after manager after manager and still you pretend that they aren't crap. Its bizarre that people like you refuse to see how garbage our players are at this point.

This is so laughable that I don't even know where to start. I was against Kenwright and his vandalism of this club long before it was considered hip. I've been called all sorts for my stance on the man. He was absolutely vile and the worst thing to ever happen to Everton Football Club and should've been purged from it way back when Walter Smith went. All of that is beide the point. I asked a simple question. Which "better manager" do you think we could attract right now to greatly improve us? Please try and provide an answer or just be honest and admit that all you want to do is sack Dyche because you don't like him and truthfully have no clue who this phantom "better manager" would be.

It wouldn't have surprised me that much tbh. The writing was on the wall back in 2019. Hell it was on the wall way before that too. This has been coming for years. Its decades in the making and will take years and years to undo. Sacking Dyche for another random manager who you'll want sacked in six mouths or less isn't the answer.

I think the problem is the damage Kenwright and Moshiri have done has left us in the position where Dyche is the best option. We're a complete mess with points deductions, back to back relegation battles and a poor squad of players.

I think most people know that Dyche is never going to bring back the glory days but that doesn't really matter because there's been an acceptance around the club that those times are beyond us anyway. Just look at how plenty of people were relieved when we went out of the cups so we could concentrate on staying in the league.

Everton players would struggle to keep the ball against 8 men. We just havent got those players. Every game we've played in the past 5 years alone we never ever have spells of possession. We lost because a few players switched off at that cross.

Dyche has got a similar record. To Walter smith last time we went 10 games With out an open play goal.

I don’t know who’s out there k, that’s not my job. Little old Bournemouth went for a young manager who wants to play attacking football. Should have got a result v Man City. Everton basically gave up v city
How can little old Everton compete With the mighty city. That’s the narrative dyche has set and you love it. Potter took over a Brighton team playing ale house football under Chris houghton and got them
To 9th in 2yrs playing very good football. To say another manager couldn’t get more out of this group is embarrassing. 20% possession at home to Aston Villa. He should have bent sacked at full time.

I want dyche gone this is 2024. What joe kinnear up to because we’re basically Wimbledon circa 1994

Let’s just get through this season and hopefully survive. But then he has to go in the summer
